Error when reporting post?

Post#1 » by 2poor » Thu Mar 20, 2008 1:53 pm

I'm keep getting this when I hit the report button on applicable posts:

'Ran into problems sending Mail. Response: 553 sorry, your envelope recipient has been denied (#5.7.1)'

I take it the posts aren't being reported?

They still do get reported.
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

If you hit the back button on your browser to get back to the post you are reporting, and then hit refresh, you will see that the report button will be lit up.

I was really confused about that too. I hope it can be permanently taken care of as what I described is simply a weird stopgap measure.

Thanks for your due diligence though 2poor.

I was the first to report this (no pun intended), but at least I know I'm not alone.

It's true... I was wondering about that, cause I stopped using it then.

I was wondering about that too. Glad it still works at least.

It still wouldn't hurt if you guys also PM'ed an active mod with a link to the thread in question and which post you're reporting. That's a lot easier to see for us (at least for me it is) and I know I react quicker to PM's than the reports. I eventually see the posts, but not quickly.

We still get the report but like it has been said before you can message us to make sure we address it more promptly. According to the higher ups there will be updates to the boards that will address the report to the moderator function soon.

I've been getting this a lot, but the message still gets reported.

It should be fixed once the new updates are applied to the site...
