I predicted lakers in 6 so therefore I am a genius.
It doesn't surprise me that jazz fans threw food and junk at the Lakers on the bench, but where the hell is the security? This is the same city where they threw beer on the court during a game just a couple months earlier when the Lakers blew the Jazz out. They have a history of this kind of behavior. What if someone wanted to throw a battery or sharp object? That really pissed me off more than any Okur 3 pointer or Boozer shove in the back. At Staples they have security in place facing the crowd during every timeout or break.
Those fans have a lot of hate in their hearts and it only takes one idiot to hurt someone. The ESA security really dropped the ball on this one.
The game was entertaining. The Lakers dodged a couple bullets in the end. The Jazz just have no quit in them. They play like their coach. I'm curious to see what they do in the offseason.

Mike Tirico said something about a few fans making all of the wonderful Jazz fans look bad. If this happens a lot, how wonderful are the fans that go?

OMG! That's is pure insanity.
It's also symbolism, Pau is the driving force of the laker machine, with Kobe as his sidekick, and Phil and the Machine as the ultimate masterminds. Mwahahahaha!

I have to say I'm a little bitter against the Lakers right now. At the beginning of the season Kobe wants a trade and they are not expected to do much, maybe contend for the 8th seed in the West.
Fisher (the perfect PG for your system) falls from the sky into your lap. Then, the perfect big man, Gasol, comes gift wrapped in one of the most one sided trades in NBA history. At least we stole Boozer from Cleveland fair and square haha....
But I do give credit for drafting guys like Turiaf, Farmar(even though he sucked ass), Walton, Sasha, and your other role players.
I'll try to be a good loser but damn this one hurts.

But then consider that Kboe got hurt in the series and Bynum hasn't played since January. Just imagine if we still had Bynum healthy.... he would have locked down the glass especially with Pau at PF and Lamar at SF.

I don't care about Kobe's injury, everyone is banged up this time of year. Kobe's back just got a lot more attention than other guys. He really knows how to milk it up to the camera's writhing in pain and all.
But yes I agree that the Lakers can be scary good with Bynum back and the guy no one talks about that I think is pretty good...Ariza. God they are so stacked it's depressing.
The Jazz, Lakers, and Hornets will battle to win the West for the next 5-7 years.

I don't know what it is about Kobe, but opposing fans never believe he's injured. I've seen that accusation thrown around his entire career. If we go by what they say, Kobe has never been injured in his 12 year career. I don't know if that's an insult or a compliment.
He could have easily just gone to the locker room and called it a night in game 4, and no one would have knocked him for it (like David West). But he played through it and it got worse in the 4th quarter and overtime, and he paid the price for it, both on the court, and in the media.

you know what is funny about that stament? no, not that it is spot on, but that the Hornets had better expectations than the Lakers and Byron Scott won COY and Phil jackson wasn't even considered for COY even by Lakers fans.dingojazz wrote:I have to say I'm a little bitter against the Lakers right now. COY isn't really COY, its just the coach of the team who exceeded expectations the most that year. Its not a serious award anymore, I mean Sam Mitchell and Doc Rivers have won it. Phil Jackson is too good of a coach to win the award.
