Other than 98 Pacers vs Bulls, I would say:
02 - Lakers vs Kings
00 - Blazers vs Lakers
01 - Raptors vs Sixers
01 - Bucks vs Sixers
Most anticipated Game 7 ever?

If I remember correctly, it didn't get good ratings...am I wrong about that?
(Just curious)
Game 7 (and probably 6 also) of that series helped push the average up out of the dumps. It ended up almost matching the following year's Dallas/Miami series - only a few tenths difference.
I mean don't get me wrong, it wasn't a HIGH rated series, but it was the best ratings of the Spurs Finals, and again, Dal/Mia didn't improve on the ratings much at all.

most anticipated?
detroit vs. lakers 1988
each and every game was a fight.
magic, kareem, worthy, scott, isaiah, dumars, lambeer, rodman all were playing tough basketball.
it was the first time in 20 years ANYONE had even gotten close enough to taste a repeat. everyone was waiting to see if the LAKER could finally break the 20 year drought.
the LAKER prevailed, got the back to back. and soon after, back to backs and threepeats went off like a wildfire.

I promised my wife I'd clean out the garage, even washing down the floor, and I made damn sure I got my ass in gear and got it done in time to watch this game.
are you talking about the 1998 eastern conference finals?

We still won more games than the 72 dolphins.....

i know we played in the least anticipated game 7 of all time.
hornets/heat the last time we made the playoffs. we were underacheiving and finished 41-41 our last year in the east for the 5 seed, the heat with a rookie d-wade finished 42-40 for the 4th seed and HCA.
wade hit the shot that won game 1, the heat blew us out in game 2, we tied the series at 2-2 at home, lost a close one in miami, won in the NOrena and had 36 year old steve smith of all people lead us in scoring in a game 7. it seemed like the whole game we were down by 8 and i was waiting for the run that never came, though we cut it to 5 with about 4 minutes left.
every other first round series that year was done in 5 games or less.
the heat surprisingly took indiana to 6 games in the next round, traded for shaq in the offseason, and the rest is history. you can ask yourself if we win that game, do we start 2-29 the next season and blow it up like we did????????? who would have picked chris paul in the lottery if we couldn't have got him??????? does miami sacrifice lamar odom and caron butler for a diesel-fueled title run??????? if they kept odom and butler they'd be a playoff team in the east, even if wade was out injured
