Yet the impact of Tmac has still be greater.
The Celtics were 9.7 points per 100 possessions better with Pierce on the court this season, the Rockets were 1.6 points per 100 possessions better with T-Mac on the court this season.

Pierce is just a better player now.

I agree that he has had a great season, and Pierce has had the better year. But are you sure that KG has nothing to do with that? From what I've seen in the past, Pierce has always needed a 2nd person there, for example in the early years he had Walker, now KG, and from the looks of it, thats the only way he wins games.

Of course he needs a 2nd guy to take pressure off him offensively and he has had a very good defensive team in his trips to the ECF. Pretty much everyone does need that to win in this league though, so I don't see how that's a big knock on Pierce.

Yes but the years he just showed you where T-mac has had Yao Ming and had horrible efficiency in comparision to Pierce, Pierce had Wally. And at one time instead of Wally it was Ricky Davis. Both with one of the youngest rotations in the league.

I agree though that Pierce can't be the only option if you're going to win.

"Winner" Quality? Granted T-Mac still has not made it past the first round, but I would hardly give Pierce an edge for winner quality. The Celtics missed the playoffs in the east last season, KG is the reason for the Celtics winning.
