Ever wonder what Charles is doing on TNT? Paying off his gambling debts!

Wynn Las Vegas filed a lawsuit in District Court on Wednesday to force former National Basketball Association star Charles Barkley to pay back $400,000 in gambling markers the casino alleges it extended him last year.

The casino also persuaded the Clark County district attorney

Sort of sad. Then again, if you make the money he does, who cares. His choice. I'm sure he runs up tabs with a few casinos. They probably just want him to pay up before he spends more there, figured this was the best way to go about it. ;)

Charles ..... ripping on Mike for Valuing money and yet he cares nothing for it... What a moron!

The Casinos absolutely make their boat loads on people with 100-135 IQ.

The really dumb and the really smart both stay away...

???? What defines a problem?????

If Barkley makes $8 million a year and loses $400,000, that is only 5% of his income. If I make $100,000 per year and go to vegas and lose $5,000 would people think I have problem? Doubtful.

And as far as highly intellectual and or those lacking intellect not gambling or losing is the most ridiculous statement I have ever heard? How about some statistical research from a reputable source to back up such a statement? It is hard for me to fathom any truth in it considering the lottery and other forms of gambling are described by economists as a tax on the poor. It seems more of a socioeconomic problem above anything else.

Riddle me this, riddle me that; If Robert Sarver keeps KT and looses $16 million dollars in one year, and doesn't win a Championship, does he have a gambling problem?

He does have a problem if he refuses to pay for the loss.
Suns fan during the KJ era (Coliseum), through the Barkley era (Am West Arena), and now the Nash era (US Airways Arena)!

I don't have the money or the need to gamble in excess, but I have two friends that have casino hosts and gamble on markers everytime they are in Vegas. They don't usually pay them off, they just gamble more and hope they win it back. They don't pay them off until they absolutely have to.
