Where did Van Gundy start out in TV, on TNT. He learned a lot of good fundamentals over there - most importantly, be yourself.

back when hubie was still with tnt, i saw him after a game outside the arena walking to the hotel and i said

"OMG it's Hubie Brown and Dick Stockton, how are you doing sir"

he was so scared and he said "fine" and walked away

lol i was young but he got so frightened and dick Stockton didnt say a word...

No way. Hubie Brown is easily the best color commentator in the League. The intelligence that he exhibits with regards to the game really makes up for the crap that his colleagues on ESPN continue to spew out. I love hearing him.

Van Dummy is the worst, I can never enjoy a game on ABC because of him.
