Yes of course. Relative to smart posters, there seem to be a lot of stupid posters from lakers land on this forum. That's not to cast aspersions towards all lakers posters. The larger the fan base, the more idiots it'll contain. I'm looking forward to some good debate and trash talk with the good posters, and laughing at the stupid ones.
Agreed !

Its the lakers and spurs.....just how it should be for the WCF
As a lakers fan I cant see this going anything but 7 games......
We are as healthy as we are going to be this year getting Ariza back for defensive purposes.....
We have had to face teams with good PG's in Deron Williams and Iverson......Tony Parker is a speed demon and brings a new challenge
So glad we have Gasol for this series as he does well against TD. If we had Bynum I dont think the series would be close but we dont so it is what it is.....

Lakers in 5, yea I said it....
Lakers steal 1 game in San Antonio. (.4 anybody?) Lakers are younger, hungrier and lead by the NBAs best player in Kobe. Spurs have the experience, but haven't been dominant this year. (thinking back to that losing streak where the spurs looked OLD)
I don't underestimate Manu and Parker, but I like the fact we have Ariza back as another defender. Horry and Finley will hit big shots but I don't think it's going to be enough. Bowen will be a step slower, Ginobli and Udoka will split the remaining time guarding Kobe. But after watching Kobe tear apart Brewer, AK47 and Harpring for points and assists I can't imagine he won't do the same to the Spurs.

Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:
"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

lakers hungrier?
Don't think the Lakers are hungrier.
Look at how Udoka, Finley and Horry were draining their shots. It's the end of the line for a couple of them. Same too for Thomas, he was grabbing those offensive rebounds like no tomorrow.
That's the difference, the Lakers squad may not have as much of an urgency. Very different for the Spurs, where this may be the last time for them.
Spurs in 6.

Re: lakers hungrier?
I agree on the urgency part for the Spurs, but bottom line is the Lakers are hungry.ceperez wrote:Don't think the Lakers are hungrier.

And as far as Udoka, Finley and Horry those cats are like werewolves thsy only come out every blue moon as far as their shooting goes.
If Finley isn't hitting shots he basically useless.
Udoka is a HACK with a false rep for playing defense only because he's a Spur.
Horry can't play anymore and now has to resort to cheap shot to stop his opponents typical of a guy who can't play anymore.

Udoka was known as a defensive stopper in his Portland days. Thing with Finley he may go through a shooting slump but he has the experience to know when to make the shots that count. He has proven it time and again this season. I'd much rather have an experienced big shot player like Finley or Horry taking a crucial three than the overrated Vujacic or Farmar.

I went peppersquad after that '06 Dallas series. I was a pretty frequent poster here, but I had to get away for a while. I lurked here some during last years run, but figured I'd been away long enough to come back. Seriously, some times you gotta do what you gotta do. I can say from experience, if it happened, which it won't, you wouldn't really be missing all that much.

Problem is Udoka is not a defensive stopper like I said it's a generated hype job by media and low level scouts. It was a reason he's been cut by several teams including the Lakers. And if Vujacic and Farmar are overrated then so are the guys you talk about in this post. Bottom line is they can't play period.Magz50 wrote:Udoka was known as a defensive stopper in his Portland days. Haha..did you just claim there's a hype machine inflating Ime Udoka's abilities? Ime Udoka? I guess that's in line with some of the other gems previously mentioned.
The guy has never been given anything in his career. Any reputation he has begun to be given he has earned.
He made it onto Portland's summer league team two years back and beat out numerous players...to come out of nowhere and become a starter on the team, and he quickly became Portland's best perimeter defender.
He's not lockdown but he's a solid defender who scraps and can hit the open 3. That's exactly what you want coming from role players and exactly how people rate him. Wish he was still on our team but his agent screwed him. Anyway continue with your hilarious jibber jabber.
