As a sonic fan, and a life long NBA fan IF the Sonics leave Seattle, I will never watch another NBA game. If we get an expansion franchise I won't watch them either.

Side note: It disgusts me seeing the Oklahoman newspaper break down the Sonics chances of winning the lottery on there front page. They can't even get the team for two years, if they get them at all. That's what sickens me the most. I hope Oklahoma gets a team, just not Seattle's team, and I don't want any other fans to go through what we in Seattle are going through right now.

Barons is a good name and those jerseys are nice as hell.
Although they would be obligated to have Baron Davis on the team.

Oklahoma City Bombers may be inappropriate, but the name just sounds too perfect to not be used. Plus, Bomberman can be brought out of video game retirement and become a mascot. :D

I dont get the complaining from all these Sonic fans. Just because they move does it mean you hate them? Will you suddenly realize Durant didn't DESERVE ROY just because he is in OKC?

No, I'll still be glad for his time here and love the fact that I got a chance to watch every game of his. However, I cannot watch the NBA knowing that they stole something from the city from right underneath us. I'll hope Durant and Jeff Green win 2492468024 championships, just I hope none of them are for Clayton Bennett. And I'll still sport my Jeff Green and Kevin Durant Seattle jersey's proud.

Someone mentioned and another asked earlier so I'll answer it for sure. Thunder is a AA baseball team in Trenton NJ. The Trenton Thunder started off as the minor league team for the Detroit Tigers, later were run by the Boston Red Sox. The Trenton Thunder have been the minor league team of the New York Yankees for about 10 years now which is the pretty much going to continue to be that way. Tony Clark and Nomar Garciaparra started off their careers there. Over the last few years the Yankees have had Derek Jeter and most recently Alex Rodriguez rehab from injuries with the team. Jorge Posada may be spending some time there soon also. Shelly Duncan and Robinson Cano also played for the AA team.

How's the fish market in OKC? What's the fresh catch of the day?

it's not a done deal yet with all of the lawsuits pending.

Sigh.....I wanted the team to be called "The Oklahoma City Scoundrels" with Clay Bennett's face as the logo.

I do like the color scheme though.

Chicago if they get Rose. Other then that maybe the Blazers, who we have been conditioned to hate.

So it goes...

Sonics... love -> hate
Blazers... hate -> love

:banghead:

Can we just have our sonics?

At least OKC's team name wouldn't be based on a popular movie at the time...

I still haven't forgiven the people of my hometown for naming our team the RAPTORS... I sometimes wake up in a cold sweat remembering how ridiculously ugly our early jerseys were... *shudders*

OK, not really, but you know what I mean.

I don't like the color scheme because they are stealing the one Pittsburgh will use when we get a team... I'm allowed to dream!

and not that it matters, because it seems to be consensus, but no scheme they pick would be suitable because this whole relocation is a travesty. As a Blazer fan, I still hate to see this move just as a Steeler fan I hated to see the Browns originally move. Even if Bennet could win this lawsuit it could still take two more years to relocate and his reputation will be greatly damaged (not that it already is). If he just waits it out he could sell the sonics and turn a decent profit with their stock rising, save court fees, and get a another team that has no history and is in poor standing.
