Minnesota could be a good trading partner
I would think that Minnesota would consider trading the pick for a veteran player like Iguodala. How man Lottery picks do they need ? They are already way to young . We get the pick and one of their young players and keep playing our youngsters and developing Louis Williams and Thad and Carney. We wouldn't have to worry about overpaying a guy like Iguodala and we could wait till a player emerges as a true Franchise player. Just a thought . ANy feedback ?

I would love to have their 3rd pick for Iggy

Brook Lopez is the perfect body next to Big Al.
They're not trading that big for another swingman.
Exactly. Lopez has an inside-outside finesse offensive game that should compliment Jefferson perfectly. Plus Jefferson had a terrible time defending at C last year and will really benefit from moving to PF.

I actually have Brook Lopez going to the Miami Heat. He's a 7 footer with solid fundamentals on both ends and would instantly revive that team. Having a solid big like Lopez downlow and Wade would be optimal.
FYI: The Wolves have a top-3 pick. Not 4th that belongs to the Seattle
Supersonics. Which is good, because the Wolves would instantly pick Derrick Rose. Leaving the Sonics to select Jerryd Bayless. It depends on if they think Bayless can develop into the PG of the future. If not an Andre Miller package can most certainly acquire that pick(and Mayo)

Lopez might be good, but there's no way Miami is picking him over Beasley.
I said an Andre Miller PACKAGE. Not solely Miller himself

And there's no way Chicago takes Rose over Beasley. Unless they feel like 1) Kirk Hinrich cannot rebound from his unusually poor season. And 2) That Thabo Sefolosha cannot handle the combo guard role. Plus, they've loved Chris Duhon. Lopez goes to Miami at #2 hence and Rose to Minny at #3.
Seattle has been discontent with Luke Ridnour and with no other alternative besides the scrub that is Earl Watson. Seattle needs a PROVEN PG or a highly touted prospect. Can Bayless play the PG position? If he can't, remember Seattle has Green and Durant. So he'd be forced to a 6th man role.
Philadelphia sends:
PG Andre Miller
SG-SF Rodney Carney
PF Edin Bavacic
16th pick in the draft
Cash Compensation
Seattle sends:
PG Luke Ridnour
SF Donyell Marshall
SF Adrian Griffin
4th pick in the draft.
We give them Miller obv. And Rodney Carney who's a potent 6th man. Bavacic and the pick is more youth and money. Since all 3 players basically have no future in Seattle. It's basically Miller+ young kids for the 4th pick. Which is fair for Seattle.

There is no way in hell the Heat will take Lopez ahead of Rose if they are both on the board. Maybe the Heat trade down to take Lopez, but if they stay at 2, there is no way that Rose gets past them for someone like Lopez. I'm pretty confident Rose will go #1 though. You don't pass up a franchise PG who plays both ends of the court for a SF/PF who isn't that great defensively.
It would probably make a lot of sense for the Heat to offer something to the Bulls in order to swap picks. Then both teams get a player who is the better fit and the Bulls add another piece in additon to Beasley at #2.

Its pretty much a lock this year, like last, that the top 2 players are going 1 and 2.
That trade from Seattles point of view is horrible. Trading for Miller one year before he is a FA does not do them any good bcause they are not accomplishing anything next year. Seattle can sign him as a FA a year from now if they really want him without giving up the 4th pick.
I believe that if there is a top draft pick to aquire, its from the NY Knicks. What if we sent a Miller package, like our 1st and Utahs, to the Knicks for Randolph and the #6 and take Mayo if he is there.

As some pointed out in the NBA lottery thread. Wade and Rose does not matchup skillset wise. Rose needs the ball to set up players. Wade needs the ball to score. It's generally well known that you don't pair 2 "needs the ball" players in the back-court. Does MIA need a PG? Yes they do. But they'd go Bayless over Rose. He FITS their system more then Rose does.
That's why Riley's pondering trading the pick. To see if he'll get a veteran big/PG for potential at Rose. Ultimately, I don't see anyone giving a quality big/PG except the Portland Trailblazers. We don't have any quality bigs of which to speak off. We have Andre Miller, who MIA has expressed interest in the past. A package of Miller+ for the #2 I don't mind either.
But, in terms of the draft. He's a 7 footer with fundamentals. The other guy that's 7 foot with some of those has 3 NBA rings working on a 4th, making him the 2nd best big in the game's recent history to Shaq. Now do you LOL@ selecting Lopez? I'm not saying Lopez is the next Duncan. I'm saying Lopez has the best chance at being a legit big in the league.
Legit Big=Win titles. Legit PG/SF=It's an awesome piece. But you need to have the team. .

It's "horrible". Laughable. I do sim league trades. I don't come up with horrible proposals. In the case that Seattle does not improve/and or they do not like Andre Miller's performance. He gives them an extra 9 million for the 09 free agency. I took that into account, SouthJersey. I don't make bad trades.

Obviously you think the trade is a good one because you came up with, and you feel that you dont make bad trade proposals.
Seattle would not have an extra 9 million in FA, they would have about 5. Griffin and Marshall are expiring, plus they would be taking on Carneys contract. Unless my math is off, this kills part of your logic on why Seattle would do the trade. Do all your Sims have incorrect information?

It seems to work pretty well for the Spurs who have Parker and Ginobili who are both "creator" type players. Both do a lot of dribbling and are adept at setting up others as well as creating for themselves.
Personally, I think Rose and Wade are a dream matchup in the backcourt together. Rose is an unselfish player who will still command the D attention due to his offensive skills/quickness. The attention he gets will allow Wade to work a little more freely on offense. Those guys can be used interchangebale at the PG/SG spots too due to their size and defensive ability.

Seattle is REBUILDING. They don't need to trade the 4th pick overall for a 30+ year old average PG with an expiring contract. Adding Edin Bavacic(you don't even know whow to spell his name) is just comical. As is the potent 6th man.
And why would you possibly think Seattle would want to give us Ridnour and Marshall. Do they just feel kind or something?
You basketball knowledge is shocking to say the least.
