Rondo better turn Billups' hamstring into silly putty.
Agreed. I want Rondo to play 43 min a game and run Billups into the ground with that gimpy hammy. Billups can't be at full strength anyway, those hammys take a long time to heal completely.
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

You need to get a grip or learn a thing or two about basketball. Those of us have watched the Clippers during the season knew how bad Cassell would be for this team. Unfortunately, there are people who are still holding onto Cassell from 5 years ago and thinking he's still the same player and making these ridiculous posts thinking he's some sort of savior.
How much worse does Cassell need to play before he becomes the 3rd PG? Please don't give me (Please Use More Appropriate Word) BS about Sam and his big shot because that's not going to come before he kills our offense, hog the ball and don't play any D.
House is playing well, so House should be the first PG off the bench. If the Pistons are giving him wide open jumpers and he's missing them, then yes, we can see Cassell because that's what he does. However, Cassell is a significantly worse defensive player, doesn't pass and doesn't push the tempo, so I don't see any use for him, unless we need someone to commit a hard foul and get suspended.

tombattor, you know I'm with you on this so I won't add anything other than Cassell needs to be on the shortest leash possible EVEN AS THE THIRD GUARD. More House, less Sam, and the Sam we see needs to be in short doses.

Yeah when your starting SG, your backup PG, and your backup SG [Tony Allen?], your back-up SF, ALL suck at dribbling without turning the ball over you're going to have some trouble against a press.
If we had one SG that could dribble well then we wouldn't need Cassell because we'd have at least 1 ballhandler out there at all times.
Hunter was the only guy that gave House trouble though. I say we roll with House to start and see if the rookie or Billups gives him any trouble.

Yup. We're on the same boat on this and so are a lot of others, but I keep seeing morons post dumb crap about giving Sam PT.

Just remember this: Any argument made to justify playing Sam in this series can also be made to justify giving Tommy Heinsohn minutes at Power Forward this series.
Smart player, intelligent, has considerable playoff experience, used to taking big shots, fearless, good basketball IQ, well rested, etc...

I can't understand why those in the media insist on saying that Cassell was acquired specifically to counter Detroit's Billups. Yes, Cassell has the height to match Billups. However, Cassell is no more of a defensive upgrade on Billups than House. I believe Rondo and Tony Allen would be counted on defensively to stifle Billups. If Cassell plays, play him more at shooting guard. Because Rivers seems to tell him to just shoot and not run any offensive plays.
Cassell use to be a point guard in this league and Rivers, like with Ray Allen, is misusing him. It can't be simply his [Cassell] age is slowing him down or the lack of minutes or consistent playing time.

I like Cassell and he's had a solid career, but he talks to much sometimes. Just shut your mouth, toe the company line, if you're number is called then work to run the offense and play a team game, if you're number isn't called help young rondo and cheer from the bench and hopefully ride off into the sunset with another ring.
