Yeah, these "premier" defenders like Prince and Bowen that give guys like Kobe, Tmac, Vince, and others problems, don't have the same effect on Pierce. The reason is his strength. Pierce has always been more of a power 2 than a quick finesse guard like those other guys. Those defenders like Prince and Bowen can't match Paul's strength, and as a result they don't really effect his game all too much. It's the bigger, stronger guys that give Pierce problems, going back to Artest, and then now LeBron.
That's why seeing Pierce go off against LeBron in game 7 was so monumental. It really was a big step for Paul's career because it was the first time in 2 years he has gotten his against LeBron, and I really think now Paul is in a zone where he truly believes he is unguardable (but now at this stage in his career he knows better than to say anything). I think it started in about game 5 of the Cleveland series. Paul started taking it to the hoop, playing with a little more bounce in his step, and regaining that confidence in himself.
It might have been the turning point of the playoffs for the Celtics as a team as well.

"I have conflicted feelings right now. I mean its great and all, and no way I'd change it, but does anyone else kinda feel that we got luckier than we deserved to get? It almost feels like we're the benefactor of some NBA conspiracy."

Pierce doesn't think very highly of Tayshaun's D. I remember a couple of seasons ago he said Prince's defense was just a product of having good defensive bigs behind him (Wallace's) to protect him if he got beat. Today Pierce went at Prince as if he still thinks very lowly of his defense and came up with positive results.
Pierce needs to keep up this aggresiveness!!!

He's bringing the ball up, boxing out and marking Rasheed on occassions, out on the wing, and penetrating. He's playing everything but Center1
I think he's best used this way, like Lebron is, because defenses don't know what the f to do about it.
