- I hope KG and PP again sense the urgency to win and do what they haven't done too much so far in the playoffs: Take over games by themselves. Two games and counting, baby!
- Ray must get out of his slump, and once he does, we won't be so vulnerable when KG/PP has a bad night. Let's hope he catches fire in Game 2.
- If we keep up this defense, I really don't see us having too many problems in Game 2.

I could go for a sweep.
Pretty nice video. I got a big laugh when Tommy was laughing.

I think we played two teams that are more athletic than Detroit than Cleveland and Atlanta.
Detroit is more our forte; same age range and the positions match up well with each other + our bench is now ready to dethrone the Pistons and their access to the finals.
With that said, Celtics in 5, with Pistons winning one at home.

We need to play better than in the first game! I was happy with our performance but we still have a lot in reserve.
Defensively I think we can put them under even more pressure and on offense Ray is bound to hit a jumpshot, right?
And there were so many lucky bounces for DET...They lost the ball numerous time in the dieing second and somehow they got the ball back and hit the shot. It is time some of those end in our hands.
I would like to see Tony getting 10 minutes, I believe he can help us. Pierce has been playing big minutes in the last few game, Tony could give him and Ray a little breather.
The most important thing is that we come out with energy and intensity. If we do that, we will be OK.

Should be a good game but I think Detriot shakes off the rust, plays much better and may steal the game tomorrow.
I agree. I think DET brings their defense with them this game.
We need to be ready and not stall our offense all game. We saw DET kill our momentum when Rondo left the game with their pressure. Doc did great to recognize this and play Rondo 40 minutes. Top that with our new pick and roll offense it's like Doc has been spending the entire year just preparing for DET.
We need another top tier game from KG,Pierce,Rondo. Most importantly we need to keep it agressive. Honestly I think we settled for too many jumpers still last game, if DET brings their defense those are going to be missed but if we drive they may be free throws instead.
This will be a real game, and a huge one. If we win tomorrow that will be gigantic and give us a good opportunity to go to the Finals.

While I'm not so sure Detroit will play like that tomorrow night, I wouldn't be so fast to expect a great game out of them. They don't seem to take anything seriously and they seem to underachieve a lot. This ain't the Sixers or Magic, it's the Celtics they are playing. Also, Flip Saunders is a worse big game coach than nearly anyone else in the league!
C's win going away to go up 2-0

It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Here's the mentality I like.......they have the stop the C's. Some here have it ass backwards. The Pistons are concerned are the C's gonna play as poor as they have been playing. The C's won last night and didn't bring their A game. If both teams bring their A game the C's win. We have the better team, keep that in mind......

Um did you even watch the game last night? Celtics had 44 points in the paint compared to Pistons 22. Exactly half our points came from within the paint. IMO, that's the very definition of NOT settling for jumpers but what do I know.
