For some strange reason, I feel he would shine playing his natural position PF for you guys.

We did encounter each other in the playoffs last year. It's not like we don't know anything about him. I see him more of a 5 in today's game as he can't bang download with the stronger 4s in the league.

I must admit, he's a bit strange... but he's NOT a bust, he's one of those guys you nurture, and not your typical NBA ready Tim Duncan or LeBron James. This is his second year, passing judgment on him so early and declare him this and that is simply being naive. This kid is special, trust me... and I really don't think BC will trade him anyways. Yes, I understand: Fans and GM/Management see things in a different way than the "fans", so bare that in mind.

I think this is what we all are so "bleh" about. For a number 1 pick to be a project isn't exactly what any team looks for. He's not exactly a bust, neither is Bogut or Milicic or even Sam Bowie, but from where they were picked, it sure downplays their value. This is why Nets fans aren't up to the idea of trading RJ (a No. 13 overall proven player) for him, nevermind packaging our 10th for him as some TOR fans are thinking. Sure, we see potential, but nothing special as you see.

But if we do end up trading him to you guys... would you also accept the following user(s): AndreaBustnani, garbagnani in exchange for the user NetsForce? (He's a good GFX artists, and would be a good asset).

That's gonna cost you Bosh.

Ease up a little, man.

Fans of their respective teams will think a bit more highly of their players.

he is pretty unpowerful though. Like my confidence in being able to box him out is a bit higher with him than with other players. He'd get easily outboarded by rajon rondo. He averaged less than 4 per game. tyronne lue can get 4 per game if he tried.

but he's neither a big man nor a legit shooter. So we shouldn't try too hard for this guy.

The big thing though is that he's still a project. Does Thorn or Kiki believe he'll still measure up to be a great player (I don't for the most part)?

but he's neither a big man nor a legit shooter. So we shouldn't try too hard for this guy.

My thoughts exactly.

Bosh and VC hate each other, so that's not going to work, we will throw in user General Ford + a filler like user: The Cynic if you want (A bunch of VC and TJ followers, should thrive here).

a trade of a pg and bargnani for rj seems a little more realistic. only hard part will be getting the salaries to work.

I don't give a damn if Bosh and VC hate each other. If the Nets ever had an opportunity for Bosh, I'd kick the **** out of both of them until they like each other.

:D

Three things a team in rebuilding would want in their trades...
1.) Young Talent
2.) Picks (Preferrably 1st rounders)
3.) Expirings

Two out of those three would be a good start for us. Bargnani although a young talent and a 1st overall, is a project I don't see flourishing here. For or Calderon would most likely want to start somewhere after a trade and we can't give that to them. So...no.

You guys should stay away from Bustnani, but since he was a former 1st overall pick(potential will be there for another year), I would be happy if we somehow used that to get Sean Williams for him..

Wow. Late to this thread, but keep in mind that the rumor came out of NJ, not Toronto.

I also think you're being a bit hard on Bargnani. Keep in mind that a year ago in the playoffs he was our best player against you guys (yes, better than Bosh). Or at least most dangerous.

He sucked balls in his sophomore season but had enough GREAT games mixed in to see there genuinely is a lot of potential there.

Oh, and he's definitely a PF. May be skinny and white, but the guy is 260 or something (25 lbs more than Bosh) and our 2nd best man-to-man post defender.

His problem is having a vagina. Not strength/weight.

Because we need his toughness. The way he manages those 4 rebounds are essential for our championship run. I could see it now:

Bargnani, Nets take game 1 of the NBA finals

Richard Jefferson Who??? Andrea Bargnani has proven to be the player the nets needed to be a contender. The Forward managed to score 9 points on 4-11 shooting(1-4 from trey) and grab 3 Rebounds in just under 39 minutes.

Vince Carter had this to say about Bargnani's performance, ''Bargs was just killing them out there. That 3rd board he managed with 6:21 left in the 3rd quarter was the key of the entire game. The way he was stroking the ball from outside was just beautiful.''

I shouldn't laugh because Bargnani supporters might come here, but that was hilarious.
