Wade vs CP3
Just two years ago Dwayne Wade was on top of the basketball world and was considered a superstar which he definitely was. Posting up 27.2 ppg, 6.7 apg and 5.7 rpg in 05-06 and nearly identical numbers in 06-07. On a bum knee he was still averaging 24 and 7. But as this year Wade took most of the season off to recover his injury, CP3 blasted onto the scene having an MVP season posting 24, 11, and 5 rpg and 2.7 spg.
So I was just wondering who do you think is more of a superstar right now? Does anyone think Wade will come back and be the as great as he was or level off and become human again. I like Wade a whole lot more than CP3, but I think I would have to choose CP3 over a healthy Wade to start a team.

You'd take someone's championship contributions to his team, over someone else's 2nd round exit, and his contributions to his team?
Get real!
I look at it in context. Different seasons, different teams, different teammates, different opponents. You can't just say x player won a chmpionship on y team so he is better then z player because his team didn't win a championship.
This year's Spurs team is a tougher opponent then any team the Heat had to face, including Detroit.
I would take this season's Chris Paul over 06 Wade.

I never said one player is better than the other, certainly not. -- Where'd you pull that from my 2 comments thus far?Milan24 wrote:-= original quote snipped =-

I don't get your logic, honestly....
So, you wouldn't consider taking (everything being considered here), a championship caliber post-season from a player who was extremely vital in his team's title, and go instead with a post-season from a player (a great one at that), who's team exited in the 2nd round?
Taking everything into consideration and into "context", you take the title and the championship 10 times out of 10, IMO. -- Many players have remarkable post-seasons, Wade had one just the season before (he won the title), but it didn't result in a title.

I know you didn't and I didn't mean for it to sound like that. I was using that as an example for you saying "championship contributions to second reond exit conributions".
Like I said, I take everything into context and it is my opinion that I would take this season Paul over 06 Wade.

Whatever it is, it doesn't make any sense, in a way.
Isn't the whole goal in sports to win, and do everything imaginable/physically possible to win, no matter what it takes?
Wade did that, and on the grandest stage this game has, yet, one is going to take the season and the contributions from a player who's team exited the playoffs in the 2nd round?
But, to each his own, I guess.....
