IF in the same draft, who would you rather take first?

durant, because i follow my man thropedo who says this

Soren (LA): In order, how would you pick 'em today: Durant, Oden, Rose, and Beasley?

SportsNation David Thorpe: (12:12 PM ET ) You got it.

Durant.

He was coming in being heralded as Kevin Garnett with a 3 pointer.

Also, most GM's would still take Oden over Durant.

Durant. But on the Bulls I would consider Rose, but still probably go with Durant.

Only time will tell.

I think Rose wil be top 3 PGs in a couple of years while Durant will be just one of the top 10 Forwards in the league.

Durant is a freak and a mismatch nightmare. Rose, while an amazing prospect, isn't quite as unique.

No one has spoken up for Rose, yet he's only down 9-7...

I have to say, I'm very proud of this board for not buying into the new kid on the block hype.

Durant.

Wait till Durant physically matures in 2,3 years he will be unstoppable on the offensive end. If he works harder on the D end he will be a top 5 player in the NBA, if not he will just be a great offensive player and suspect D.

Thats the thing thats impressive bout him...he's so physically immature but, his skill level for his age is so advanced that watever physcial hindrances he has are negated. Once he overcomes those physical barriers he will be unstoppalbe. He's barely scratching the surface of his potential.

Gotta go Durant, more potential and already more proven as a big time scorer in this league.
