Wow I really thought that Kobe's and Manu's outputs would cancel each other out, what happened to that? to whomever said that.

Horribly missed call on the Duncan rebound under the basket late, no doubt Gasol knocked it out

Also didn't like how Kobe clearly pushed Bowen off with his elbow - but I understand why it wasn't called... even though it technically should be.

Vujacic and the Lakers definitely defended Ginobili well, part of it was himself, though. I'd be surprised if this relatively continues for the series.

Stellar win for the Lakers

spurs got the ball back EIGHT seconds after that missed call on another questionable call.

kobe, if u watch the replay, pulled up for the shot with nothing that seemed like anything other than a bowen flop.

quit your bitchin.

had bowen stayed in the game in the 3rd, he wouldve contained kobe, without allowing him to get hot...even decreasing the lead into 4th i dont mind, heck going into 4th with bowen fould out with a lead is still better than allowing a team get back into the game with 1 quarter to go.

a neutral fan here..gotta say the spurs were the ones who blew their 20 pt lead, not the refs. there was the blown call on the ball that should've been spurs possession because of gasol knocking it out, but the calls evened out on the very next play with ginobili.

as for the bowen/kobe play at the end..i think it was a slight flop by bowen. but even if it wasnt..it wasnt like tim duncan wasnt getting away with a lot of borderline calls either. it seemed to me that duncan always gets the benefit of the doubt from the refs, but then again a lot of stars do.

spurs had a chance to grab homecourt adv with a win in game one, but give the lakers kudos for coming back.

People talk about Ginobili's bad game, but the scary thing IMO is how you get to come back from a 20 point deficit and win with Odom's game and with your starting PG going 1/9 FG% and finishing with 4 points and 0 assists.

Yep, for instance i remember Kobe went in for a drive, and got "blocked" by Duncan (even though he clearly got Kobe across the arm) and then Odom (?) got pushed into Duncan by Ginobili which lead to 2 free throws for Duncan (which he missed -- justice was served).

Bottomline: In a basketball game there will be questionable calls that go both ways. Usually the team that's more the aggresser gets more of the benefit of the doubt, too. And alot of the times where i noticed a bad call against either the Lakers or Spurs justice was usually served (missed FTs, or a make-up call on the next possesion).

Once you grow out of being a baby and realise that, it's usually alot easier to watch games, and also leaves more time to actually analyse the game, IMO.

Bowen didn't stop Kobe in the first half. Kobe barely even shot. He was letting his teammates get touches and feeling the game through. He was going off in the second half on whoever was guarding him. No one could of stopped him tonight.

You know nothing about anything, the reffing didn't favor either side; the ball was out on Gasol but right after that the ball was off of Ginobili and they gave the ball to the spurs, evened each other out and if you want a pussy rebound foul at the end of the game you can go **** your self.

^ Knows basketball.

w/e, the refs blew it and the Spurs blew it. I'm usually lenient towards refs but this was such a good crew. Dan Crawford, Jim Clark AND Bob Delaney. I'm surprised the home crowd swayed them that much. It was a good game minus a few non-calls.

Spurs in 5. Maybe 6.

It was funny going back through this thread after watching the game.

"Series over"

"Lakers cheerleaders"

"Kobe needs to score when Bowen is in the game"

"Lakers haven't played any real teams yet. They are the only team left that doesn't play any defense."

"Spurs are clearly the better team"

Where are all those comments now? The Spurs should have done everything they could to win this game. They had a 20 pt lead. The Lakers were lackadaisical for the first 2 1/2 quarters. Kobe was feeling out the Spurs defense.

But now Kobe see's how they are playing him. He went to work on the Spurs defense the same way he did to the Jazz and Nuggets. Bowen can't hold him and neither can Udoka; Kobe has taken a page from Chris Paul and used the threat of Pau getting an alley oop to counter Duncan's presence.

The Lakers will play better in Game 2 after getting this game under their belts.......
I'm so tired of the typical......

alright some things to look out for next game:

odom needs to be more aggressive on the offensive end, not just his shots, but his passing.

fisher needs to hit his shots. farmar played pretty decent today which made up for some of fishers off night.

REBOUNDING... gasol had 7 rebounds... odom had 8. either one of hte two MUST hit the double digit mark

defense in the second half was great.

radmanovic 5-5?! let's hope he keeps that up

Absolutely epic choke job by the Spurs. A 20 point lead on the road, REAL champions don't choke like that. Imagine this was with Odom having a pretty stinky game.

Of course Spurs fans in total denial...

Wow, nice ending by Kobe.

I think its official that Kobe is in Jordan status. Am not even a Kobe fan though.

I know Kobe had close to the talent of Jordan for the last couple years.

Actually for a while though. But his patience, at times wasn't there, the fact he he allowed his teammates in a big game play their game, in a big game, showed he has matured.

But anyways, Spurs are going to give them a run for their money.

Many, Tony P, and Duncan, won't go out without a fight.

Ya, and Horry tackled Lamar at the 20. Sack up, it's the WCF.
