I think the highest he goes is 5 (and even that's assuming that the team at 5 is like perhaps Memphis, and only Bayless is available). I don't see a great chance that he'll fall out of the lotto but who knows? This batch of players could be pretty mobile this year.

I could see the Wolves giving him a good hard look at 4 assuming Rose, Beasley, and Mayo are gone. He has the potential to impress in work outs a lot more than Lopez.

Kid really has a bright future. I like him a lot.

Like i posted before. The guy is going to be a Chris Bosh/Lamar Odom type player. The kid already has range on his shot. Has a good BB IQ. The best knock on the kid is that he is very thin but that is probley the best Negative comment you would want to hear. Deandre joran(His Raw),Rose(Jumper), Randolph (weight). Now i am not saying he is better then the player i just named but im showing you how stupid people can get about this kid. If this kid was 20 pounds heavier it would not be a debate who is number 3. If your a team with a top 7 pick and can wait for him then select him. To me he is alot better then Brandan Wright.

The guy works hard, has great athletic ability and has a high basketball IQ. In those order, those are the three things that are hard to coach and in two years, could be a very good player.

I've been looking at him recently, what are realistic NBA comparisons?

Is he a 3 or a 4? Both?

If he's 6'11", he's not playing SF. Bosh is the most obvious comparison, since he's another skinny, long, mobile PF with a jumper. Bosh is pretty much the best-case scenario of course.

Never made sense to me...

If you were a world class, young violin player...do you think you would improve more from 24 hour training from the best instructors in your field or 20 hours a week from your college music teacher?

There is absolutely no evidence that staying in college makes you a better player, in fact, looking at the All Star, Team USA, MVP, etc., all signs point to the opposite.

I think you are comparing apples to oranges... I been a fan of potential in the past and have gotten burnt. I think a full time player at the NCAA level helps more than a practice squad type player at the NBA level. I also believe that maturity is a huge part of the equation when you are talking about a RAW athletic player ala Randolph. I think you can get that better at the college level. I would have no problem with him on the Bucks...but....I think that with the RIGHT coaching and mentoring, it can be successful.

NBA.COM has a brief prospect video of Randolph. I just wanted to bring this to the attention of those who compared him to Tyrus Thomas. As you all can see his skillset is by far superior to Thomas.
