BIG Baby is needed - mark my word ...
BBD is an emotional player, and we will need alot of emotion in this Det series and the finals ... He is a good low post player with a ashort jump shot as well - offensively he can give us alot- when we are down and not scoring low on emotion, BBD is the man to put in, not Leon and Not Pj.
BBD has already show what he can do when KG is on the floor with him in a detroit ame earlier - CRASH THE BOARDS AND SCORE - just what we will need coming up ...
He was too short for Atlanta, the out jump him easily, in Clev the tall and long arms of Z was a a pain, but, and this is clear to see- Det and LA, are not overly long, tall , nor jumpy athletic, BBD is perfect with Kg On the floor to play serious minutes.
It's obvious to me- what about you? When you see us having a hard time to score and realize Powe and Pj, both whom I like are not doing anything- BBD is waiting in the wings- again mark my word - we will need him- but will Doc play him?

I think everyone may be needed as well ... I like Tony Allen too to take a few mins from Ray ,,, he is a hustler and gives more to the non scoring aspect on the floor ... I'm really thinking BBD cause Det can be manhandled some ...
You know I feel great right now- if we lose thur night or even if we lose 2 in Det- I then as usual feel so awful- like the last two series- man I pray we win tonight!

You watch, Cassell will be needed because House is really going to struggle bringing the ball up against Hunter & Stuckey.
You have to play House until he struggles but it's going to happen, probably in Game 2.
So? You just have someone to help him break the press. We saw a little of that in game 1 where Eddie was having some trouble against full-court press and they started to let Pierce bring up the ball. And it worked fine because we should be running our offense through him anyways.
I rather see that than have Cassell bring up the ball and look for his shot only. You also saw how we were pushing the ball up on missed baskets to catch them before their half-court D was set, right? You can kiss that good bye with Cassell in the game too.

Pj is doing well yup, but he is not the offensive threat bbd is when garnett is on the floor with him - we will need such and also the attitude, man he gets pumped and we will need that as well- been a long road- this energy will help uplift the team- get the crowd going at home etc etc - it's all good ...

I don't know about all that. IMO, PJ Brown's been exactly what we need. Consistency. BBD and Powe have had their moments here and there, but they haven't been giving us the consistency. PJ Brown's been giving us exactly that. He also can make an open mid-range jumper, BBD can't really make with the same consistency.
And maybe PJ Brown isn't known among all the fringe fans, as I've heard someone at the game asking who PJ Brown was. However, at least me, I love nothing more than seeing PJ make that shot in game 7 or that and-1 in game 1 of ECF.

Not Cassell.
Unless Detroit fails to adjust to PP bringing the ball up rather than House or Billups is hurt enough to be as useless as he was in game 1 then we will need Sam I Am. This is the series we got him for and I don't see a path to the finals that does not feature a contribution from him.
A lot of this board is hating on Sam because Doc misused him and had him in when House was the better option. That's not his fault, and he still has a lot to give, ESPECIALLY given the way Rondo plays on the road.
Full of sound and fury; signifying nothing

It's not Doc's fault, Sam's been atrocious. Doc has put Sam in situations where he should play well, which is against the other team's 2nd unit.
Whose fault is it that he doesn't play any D?
Whose fault is it that he pounds the ball and causes our offense to become stagnant?
Whose fault is it that he shoots, no matter the situation, as soon as he sees Rondo at the scorer's table, ready to check in?
Whose fault is it that even on missed baskets, he refuses to push the ball and slow down the offense?

I agree with everything you say regarding Cassell...as you know we've agreed on this for weeks now.
Sam should be used in an emergency only at this point. Otherwise he kills the flow of the offense. If you guys thought the offense stagnated when Rondo went out and House was in during game 1, you don't even want to SEE what it'll be like if Sam is running the point! *shudder*

It's still 17 to 11!!!!

BBD also gets manicures, uses Lubiderm hand lotion frequently, and is a sponsor for ACE men's grooming products. He believes JoJo has the nicest hands of any woman.

I don't think Baby has a mid range shot yet although he seems to think he has it so that's a good sign for the future.. just must be having troubles adjusting it to the NBA.
Baby would be perfect if he knew how to avoid the fouls, we can't afford to have him come in and in 5 minutes eat away half of our team fouls. In this series or the next.
DET is the ultimate team in effeciency when it comes to turnovers so where going to need to makeup for that in rebounding and free throws. Baby can help HUGE in rebounding (and he's probuly the best finisher around the hoop for back-up bigs we have dispite his size) and if this were the regular season he'd be great in getting to the line... but the refs give him no respect.
But we absolutely can not allow ourself to be in the penalty early, that will handicap our defense against DET.
Sadly our starting Center is known for these quick fouls in the playoffs this year too [not regular season]. And KG did pick up a cheap pick foul.
okay semi point: During the regular season Baby matched up VERY well with Maxiell because he can keep him away with his weight. This could be a huge advantage if we can minimize Maxiell's rebounding and activity that reduces DET's bench effectiveness greatly.

As for Powe and Big Baby Davis I trust Pj Brown more on the defensive end and he is consistent never making any major mistakes, but if the team starts to look tired and are slowing down , then big baby and powe are key sparks off the bench. Plus I love Perk and all but its nice to actually see someone catch one of KG or Pierces quick passes down low.
