NBA conspiracy theory?

Post#1 » by Farsider322 » Thu May 22, 2008 3:53 pm

I hate both the Spurs and the Lakers, because both teams seam to have the my teams number.

With that said, what happened last night was part of what I think is a conspiracy to have the top TV market teams getting what they need to be on top of the NBA.

First Koby Bryant being able to push off, bump, and intiate contact just to have all the calls go against the other teams.

Second, the Lakers are allowed to swat at the ball time and time again without any fouls called. I guess the arm and shoulder are part of the ball.
That so called steal at the end of the game on Tim Duncan is a prime example. He was hit on the elbow, to cause the turn over, and the hit was no where near the ball and the ref's didn't call the foul. These types of "key" no calls are why I think there may be a conspiracy.

Third, the commisioner allows the trade of Gasol to the Lakers, which everyone in the league knows should not have been allowed.

Chicago (with a 1% chance in the lottery) getting the #1 pick. Enough said!

Next thing the commissioner will do is allow the owners of the Seattle Sopnics, to move the Sonics to Oaklahoma just to get a new arena.

After that, a top player will be allowed to be traded to New York for pennies on the dollar. This is just a prediction, but seams likely the way the NBA is going.

Last but certainly not least is the way the officiating is in general. It is more like the World Wrestling Federation, than legitamate NBA. When is the NBA going to practice the integrity that they say they have?

When do we as fans say we have had enough, and quit going to the games? I don't that we will ever do that, so what is our recourse? Do we have to create a petition to send to the commmisioner?

When does the league punish teams for tanking at the end of the year to get a better chance in the lottery? (At least the last fews time there has be poetitc justice, or conspiracy...who really knows??)

Am I the only one who wonders if there really is a conspiracy?

Im getting so f***ing sick of the lack of respect the Lakers get.

Nearly every win they've gotten in the playoffs so far has been blamed on the whole bull**** conspiracy theory... Give us some damn respect.

Spurs blew a 20 pt lead. Was that the refs too?
First the federal government borrowed money; then gave the money to Bank of America; then I borrowed some of that money from Bank of America and gave it to the federal government; then the federal government gave the money back to Bank of America.

what happned on that play when fisher stole the ball from manu where manu's body was blocking the opposite side ref from seeing anything and blew a foul on fisher while it was clear steal. Of all the horribly officiated games you had to call the lakers spurs where there were minimum impact by refs and if they made a bad call it was practically negated right after the play. Jesus, everyone has this It will be boston Lakers but they were the best teams in the regular season and are still undefeated at home. You're thinking too hard.

being a laker, im still betting my team to lose the series...

i predicted a spurs vs celtics and spurs in 6 or 7 to repeat for the first time ever...ill stick to that...
its sad now, because i was dead on with the lakers playoffs so far (4-0 vs nuggets and 4-2 vs jazz)

2-4, spurs over lakers sadly

and 4-2, 4-3 spurs over celtics in finals...

the nba isnt rigged. some (not all) fans need to get their heads outa their butts and realise all this is real.

1. most analysts i heard last night on the radio said the spurs got the better end of a lot of calls. The TWO calls you pointed out vs. the numerous times the refs swallowed their whistles prior in that game is ridiculous.
2. The one thing you fail to understand is GMs of each team have their teams best interest in mind or they lose their jobs. Whehter one decides to trade or not is not up for judgement, the league is there to make sure the numbers work.
3.Chicago winning the lottery only furthers the point that it's a lottery. EVERYONE has a chance. That's what a lottery is. It wouldn't be a stinking lottery.
4. If there was such a "conspiracy", why let spurs/detroit happen? why "let" the spurs win 4 rings while being the most hated NBA team in America and also the most boringest? Also, did i mention they are a small market team?

Do you believe Aliens live among us too or that elvis is still alive?

Ah shut the hell up with these dumb a$$ conspiracy, it's freaking annoying.

Ah the Bulls won the lottery, run for our lives CONSPIRACY!!!!!!!!!!, every team had a chance to win the lottery the ball just fell the Bulls way and if they wanted to help a big market team wouldnt they have let the ball go to the biggest market in the worl? NY?

Second the Pau Gasol trade was no conspiracy genius just a dumba$$ GM who wanted to go another direction and wanted to create space for the cap.

For Kobe pushing off are you freaking kidding me, you lost all respect when you say that because uh....99% of the league those that, it's call creating space. Secondly you spelled "Kobe" wrong.

You say the NBA wanted to put the top TV market teams on their um so why is the Spurs and Pistons there? Should we look back at the #'s for that series. You fail

Please you lose all respect for the sonics part, the owners intention was to move the team, the league owners all voted for them to move the team. Good one Genius.

Just be quiet because your making yourself look like an ass. Save your time buddy.

wow...

the spurs blew it dude, get over it. they had a 20 points lead and they went like 10 consecutive possessions in the 4th without getting a bucket. no way in hell thats on the referees. thats on the lakers defense and the spurs inability to force the ball into the paint.

I thought the reffing was pretty straight up last night, usually home team gets more calls but since Lakers weren't being aggressive they called it down the line. If there were a conspiracy the refs wouldn't let the Lake Show get down 20.

Since 1990, the worst team in the league has only won the lottery 3 of 18 times (17%). And how can there be a conspiracy when teams like Portland, Toronto, and Milwaukee win the lottery instead of teams like Boston and Chicago (in past years)?

This is definitely a conspiracy, idk if you guys caught it but if you looked hard enough all of Kobe's shots seemed to slightly change trajectory, spin, and force as they left his hands, thus making me believe they were being guided by magnets.
