Thanks for the heads up about the article. Being a newcomer here, this article gave me a pretty good perspective on being a sports fan in Philly.

Some Toronto links (Berezin, Gillick, Carter) to your pain.

:(

Is it really 100 though? I actually think we have two more to go.

1) No hockey in 2004
2) baseball strike of 1994?

I'm surprised the Eagles' loss in the Superbowl is ranked lower than the NFC title game. That was a golden year with TO and McNabb coming into their own, and of course the crash the following season.

Personally, the Sixers losing to the Lakers in the Finals was the most devastating loss. I had just started following basketball(consistently) around that time. Iverson, Mutumbo, Mckie, Snow and the gang gave their all. Shaq and Kobe were just too much to handle.

Any ideas on how should we celebrate?

I stood at Broad and Walnut for the Sixers 1983 Parade, and if you would have told me that day that fror the next (at least) 25 years there would not be another championship, with all the HOFers still in town, I would not have believed it.

I still don't.

Yet here we are.
