And can we please stop talking about prospects like they are proven talents. Rose has talent but I have seen more talented player not pan out in the NBA. He could be a future all-star type PG or he can be a bust that is why they are called prospects.
If you put Melo in the draft right now he would be far and away the number #1 pick.
You have to kid yourself if a team wouldnt trade there number #1 pick for a proven all-star that can average 30 ppg in the NBA and who is only 23 and already has five years of NBA experience. Maybe some fans wouldn't do it because they hate Melo but I doubt any actual GM would turn down a chance to get a 23 year old franchise player.
Agreed with the last part. Especially Beasley. As if Beasley brings anything different to the table than what Melo brings... a rebound or two better a game at best... And let's keep in mind only Kobe is a more versatile scorer than Melo. The absolute best case scenario is that Beasley becomes the player Melo already is, in my opinion.
