Messi is likely to play for Argentina. Inzaghi wants to play for Italy but they might not take him.

yep, Argentina has to be the favorites, if they can get one experienced finisher to pair with aguero and messi, they ll be virtually unstoppable.

I am very disappointed Turkey failed to qualify for this, they have some great talent coming up from youth ranks led by Nuri Sahin and Arda Turan.

A lot of fringe U-23 players on the U.S. roster. Seitz or Cervi(they will take an overage keeper as the #1), Feilhaber, and Hill will likely go to Beijing from this tournament.

Argentina must be favourites if Messi plays but there's good young players in Brazil too. I'm not sure if Anderson is going to play.

i suppose pato will play for brazil.

but argentina's base will be the u20 champions and i think they wanted riquelme to be one of the over 23 you could get but i think he won't be there, that would have been sick.

Well Argentina must be the favorites. They have Messi, Gago, Mascherano, gago and their over aged player....Riquelme.
Brazil will have Pato and all their young talents, not sure which older player they will bring.
Italy will have Giusseppe Rossi, Giovinco and Rocchi from Lazio as their over aged guy.
Them and european champions holland should all come outta their groups EASILY.

If USA brings Altidore and Adu they may have some hope of finishing 2nd in their group.

It is quite comical and sad that Bundesliga clubs refuse to release their players.

Schalke will not let Rafinha play for Brazil
Bremen will not let Diego play for Brazil
Bayern will not let Demichelis play for Argentina
Hoffenheim will not let Obasi play for Ghana
