Mayo has an outstanding jumper. When he gets in the NBA with the increased spacing and on a team that has some inside options he's going to be solid. His defence is top-notch. He's a tweener in a positive way and a gym rat.
Rose has a poor outside shot and little mid-range game. I see him struggling his first year as the defence sags off him and dares him to shoot.
It will be harder, not easier for Mayo to get his shot off in the NBA. He is neither a great shooter or defender. He is certainly good at both, but he is great at neither.
