52nd Pick in 2008 Draft

It seems like a considerably large number of seniors are getting overlooked more and more. What are the chances of getting a decent prospect in the frontcourt at this pick? Guys I've seen on the tv like Gist and White seemed very good but they're rated by most draft sites as mid 2nd round prospects.

I've been looking at James Gist for 2 months now, either him or Marcus Dove.

Im a big fan of Sasha Kaun C/PF from Kansas.

I think he can be a lifetime backup C for the Heat but also provide depth at the PF position. He has good size, strength and aggressivness.

He is still not a fully developed player as well, as he has only been playing bball since like high school.

Hopefully it'll be packaged with next year's 3 second rounders to move up.

I Say try and move up or Sasha Kaun. Next year we have 3 First so why not try and Buy a First. Lets say 5 million and a second next year?

Just out of curiosity, has Riley ever bought a pick before? The only time I thought he even considered it was to get Josh Howard after he slipped in 03. And even then I bet he was trying to trade instead of buy.

i dont know why though. Last year we got money for the D-cook trade.

I think he got money in the Philly and Indy trades because he knew it would be almost impossible to get under the tax this past season, and wanted to save Arison as much money as possible.

Sasha Kahn soundin kinda like Shakka Kahn. What about Beasley's best team mate. Bill Walker? He seems very athletic and looks like he can play. Even though we have enough sg/sf. Can't really have enough..

I think the most cash you can include in a trade is 3 million unless they changed it. And our penny saving luxury tax avoiding team is never gonna give that amount of money out for a pick IMO.

I'm not sure if we've bought a pick. What did we give up for the Martin Muursep pick?

I would be fine with Sasha Kaun. I think he'd be a good backup C prospect.

I keep forgetting that we have this pick from the SVG trade. It seems like we never actually sign the guys that we draft in the 2nd round anyway though.

I like the idea of Gist...2nd round undersize PFs that hustle have turned out well the past couple seasons.

I really like Shan Foster...hes a great shooter, quick release..would work well off the bench just to spot up. But looks like hell go early in the 2nd round.

Check out the Bio on Semih Erden. They say he is a great prospect in Turkey. 7' 250.
NBAdraft.net says he goes 48
