Pre-Shaq trade...? The Suns...

After the Shaq trade...? The Jazz and its not close.

Overall I would say the Jazz.

Jazz, I can't really think of a good argument for the Suns.

Jazz.

Suns are on the downhill so the gap is going to get even bigger.

Both are great offensive teams that play no defense. I'd say Utah, but its close.

I'll take the Jazz this season. If they didn't trade the Matrix, probably the Suns.

Jazz.

Superior rebounding
Better offensive ability
Better bench
Better coached
Better equipped defensively (not applying to general, but between the two)
Better toughness
The Playoffs don't care about your Analytics

Jazz.... Shaq trade should have been in offseason rather than mid-season, too many changes to adapt to especially with him coming off of injuries. I think the Suns will improve by a few wins next year, and then the season after that they will have a big drop off, down to a fringe playoff team (Unless they can get younger this offseason)

The Suns probably have a better chance at a title with current roster however... the Jazz need one more dominant player.

jazz. d-williams outplayed nash these playoffs.
Warspite:

Prince + filler for Kobe Bryant
To be honest the way Prince has played and with Kobes injury/age/mileage Im not sure I would do that deal either. Still Prince is more important and he wins the head to head battles with Kobe.

Can you believe the Suns were 1st in the West when they made that deal? Man, that feels like it was years ago.
