You dont want to know the answer...

Glen Rice vs Larry Freakin Bird???
Horace Grant vs Kevin Mc Hale

Still an interesting matchup because no teams stars play similar positions.

This. Although I'd say in 5-6 games. Prime Shaq > Prime Bird.

It wasn't just Shaq/Kobe on that team. They had tremendous role players. Horace grant played excellent defense, and his 20 foot J was money. Fisher/Fox spread the floor and provided an extra boost of scoring.

20 foot J!? Thats basically 3-point range, I'd say more like 15... but yeah the Lakers 00-02 role players are often underrated.

Prime Shaq is almost GOAT.... too bad his prime only lasted for about 3 or 4 seasons.

It looks like no contest to me.

The players below are shown in order of minutes played with the Hall of Fame Monitor scores from www.basketballreference.com listed next to their name.

With the obvious exception of Kobe, I think the HOF Monitor scores are unlikely to change for active players. Given his age and the quality of the Lakers current team, Kobe

Celtics in 4, if we're talking about 1985-86 Celtics.

(No offense to the Lakers, which were a great team, but those Celtics are a top 2 team of all-time in my book. My #1 alternates between those Celtics and the 1983 Sixers.)

I'll take the team who's starting frontcourt consisted of 3 of the 50 greatest players of all-time, one of which is a GOAT candidate... the other two are HOF'ers.

Who guards Larry Bird?

Celtics would own the Lakers.
