A way to get the PG we need??

Post#1 » by magicfanejc42 » Sat May 24, 2008 5:07 pm

So, I bring up the same idea that was tossed around during trade deadline, but with a tad different thought.

Hedo
Cook
Future Second

For

B.Miller
12th Pick

Why for Sacto? they recieve a young player in Hedo who is now a legit 20/5/5 guy. And Cook is good to come off of thebench..Which also means that in the year 2010 they will have about 15mil of their cap used.. as long as they don't make any long term add ons..Or even if they add Hedo they should still have only about 25mil of their cap used, and by then the cap could be around 65-70 mil.

A lineup of

Martin
Artest
Hedo
Mikki Moore
Spencer Hawes

Is a good start towards their rebuild.

Why for us? With that 12th pick we could pick Westbrook out of UCLA, a 6'3" PG who is still very young and could develope into a great talent.Plus Miller fills a hole we desperately need to fill.

Then due to the fact I can never ever stop building the roster after one fix, here is the rest of the idea..

MLE- Maggette
LLE- Doleac

Trade: Bogans to Chicago for a Duhon (S&T)
Bogans' best friend is Gooden and I know the Magic will not trade for hi. Plus Chicago needs big guards. For us we need a defensive minded PG for teams such as detroit.

During the draft trade #22 and future second to Denver for #20 and draft Donte Green.

Now our team looks like this..

Nelson/Westbrook/Duhon
Maggette/JJ/Re-signed Evans? (If so JJ is out) or we jsut grab a summer camp filler.
Lewis/Donte Green/Filler? or Re-signed Evans?
Miller/Battie/Foyle
Howard/Gortat/Doleac

That'd be it..

EDIT: My bad theif, if you want you can merge this into the offseason thread.. I got excited when I thought of the trade...

Sac doesnt have a need for SF. They have Artest, Salmons, and Garcia who are all very talented and can play that position.

And they need a PG even worse than we do...

No offense, but that's horrible.
1. We get robbed badly. No way we can't get more than Brad Miller and a mid first round pick. He's old, and he's not the tough defender we need.
2. Maggette would lol at being offered MLE.
3. Doleac sucks.

the only way i would trade hedo to sacto is in this trade:

kings get:
hedo
arroyo (s&t)

magic get:
garcia
miller
12th pick
I live rent free in your head. You know who you are :D

Not changing this sig until Magic win a championship. Started 6/26/2015.

Orlando prolly has to do this IMO. Adding Garcia and Miller pretty much kills both needs and we could draft for value at#12. Hello DJ Augustin.

Plus I gather someone missed that article about Maggette who is not looking to take a paycut to play for a team like the Magic. He is looking to get a lot more then he is earning now.

Memphis is who we need to deal with for PG help, Lowry, Conley, Crittenton and the 5th pick...

We need to stop with the trade Hedo threads .... we over value him and every other team undervalues him. We will never get value for him and just about any trade will actually happen will probably make us worse. :noway:

Under-valuing other players and over-valuing your own players is the nature of the game on RealGM.

A lot of us feel that Hedo's value is at an all time high right now and that the two SF lineup will not work against the better teams in the playoffs.

I love Hedo. But at the same time, I'm more concerned with the team's well-being and ultimately winning championships with our superstar center, even if it means getting rid of players I like to make us better.

A lot of these trades are garbage/unrealistic but it's fun to speculate.

Three years ago, there were loads of Hedo for Brad rumors. But it's now, not then.

Brad Miller would be a backup for Orlando. A team does not trade a near All-star starter for a backup.
