Like Barkley and Brand are nothing special too right?

BTW, Beasley is definitely closer to 6'10 than 6'8.

Hes probably 6'9 and change.

Charles Barkley is between 6'4 and 6'6 (closer to 6'4).

Elected to Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame (2006)

NBA MVP (1993)

All-NBA First Team
(1988, '89, '90, '91, '93)

All-NBA Second Team (1986, '97, '92, '94, '95)

All-NBA Third Team (1996)

11-time All-Star

All-Star MVP (1991)

One of 50 Greatest Players in NBA History (1996)

Olympic gold medalist (1992, '96).

I don't see anything special...do you?

I've always thought the Beasley 6'10 measurement was a joke. I would bet he's 6'8 and change. I'm not sure it would matter though...Beasley supposedly measured out with a 9'1 standing reach last year which is MORE than adequate for a PF. If David West is an all-star PF than Beasley is definitely going to be one.

I really wouldn't know what to do with the 1st pick. I'd probably take Beasley but I could see the arguments for both(although people make up things to support Rose). It seems like people are mistaking Rose game and playing the whole "making your teammates better" card when I think Rose primary value in the NBA will be as a scorer and not as a passer. I've compared him to a coachable Steve Francis or Tony Parker on steroids....I honestly have no idea how any one who watches college basketball can compare him to players like Chris Paul or Jason Kidd...if he had their passing ability then he'd probably be a 6''4 Lebron James(given that both are going to be quicker and stronger than their counterpart 90 % of the time) and destined to be a top 3 point guard of all time. Rose value will be that he will have one of the league's 0quickest 1st steps the second he steps in the league....as we saw in the last two NBA finals...the rules these days make it impossible to keep a player like Wade and Parker out of the paint.

I think Beasley will be a good player in the NBA but I just can't see him having a "superstar" career. The best player in this draft will be OJ Mayo.

I have a good feeling about Mayo too. I don't think he's going to be the best player in the draft but he doesn't have much weaknesses. I see him as another Brandon Roy...doesn't have great athleticism but just gives you everything you want from a 2 guard.

OJ is a lot more athletic than you would think. I would compare his athleticism to Javaris Crittenton's but he's obviously a better talent.

Roy has a +40 vertical and is very quick.

but yeah, i think Mayo will be decent, he will make a few all-stars and be on the same level as Ray Allen, Rip Hamilton, Kevin Martin ... and he might be even reach the same level as Gilbert or Billups.
