Sixerfan1976: what's the status

Post#1 » by Mahorn at the 4 » Fri May 23, 2008 7:49 pm

Sixerfan, I was hoping that you could touch base with an early off-season primer.

What are you hearing, if anything?

-What is the chance that Iguodala gets dealt? Has there been teams inquiring?

-Who may be a target PF? Brand? A lesser name like a Craig SMith or Chris Wilcox?

-Are teams calling about Miller? Are we shopping him?

-Would alembert go in the right deal?

Thanks in advance, Dude, I really enjoy your comments and insights.

I think time has proven that he doesn't respond to these threads. If something of substance were to arise I'm sure he'd inform us.

Personally, I have found that he tends to reply to these messages. It definitely does not hurt to invite his contribution.

Personally, I don't think he or anyone else on here. Knows someone
close to the sixer organization to give information on whats going on. just my opinion. :D

76ers

Dean1, a member / poster on Narducci's blog found on philly.com, claims that a "person in the know" told him that the 6ers are looking into Randolph and that they feel like he, "fits them like a glove".

Dean1 also states that the 6ers have a transaction tree that describes what moves will happen if they make certain moves.

Well, that doesn't exactly sound like a super-reliable source... but you never know...

If the Sixers take Randolph's cap-killer contract, they better be shipping WG, Evans and getting the #6 pick and David Lee in return, too.

If this is true, it would appear the team is trying to surround Andre Miller with veteran pieces, and not go younger..... Perhaps on the other side of the transaction tree, Stefanski deals Miller to POR and start all over with youth.
