FireBK. Interesting Mock. I see Love slipping MUCH farther since teams are all into getting athletes. The fact that Atl was recently burned by drafting the lAndlord at #5, despite questions about his lack of athletasism should further scare teams away (not saying they are similar players, just both bigs with issues around foot speed/jumping.)

I also think you propose way to high a price to move up from 16 to #9. We only got a future #2 for moving down from 13->16. I would say the Utah#1 might be enough to move up from 16 to 9. I certainly wouldn't give up Miller or an unprotected future #1.

before the season i talked a lot of trash to my buddies that speights would be better than hortford or noah... well i hope he proves me right in the nba....

Somebody is going to grab Speights in front of my 76ers. It might be Sacramento.

Hey guys, here is my latest mock... I actually think DeAndre Jordan has a better chance of slipping than Love/Speights/Arthur, because the teams picking ahead of the Sixers need PFs more than a Center. Also, DeAndre has developed the reputation of a risky project... Maybe the Suns nab him at 15 as a long-term replacement for Shaq, but they need a SF who can step in and start. We shall see. Critique away:

Jordan would be another HIGH rish HIGH reward type of picks...
but if Arthur and Speights were off the board and he was still available...id be pretty happy with him @ 16 and would much rather see us get him than a 2guard...he could develop into a decent Center especially working with Moses and co. and could possibly give us a few minutes a night to spell Sammy...anyones better than Cal Booth lol.

PhilasFinest: Have you NOT seen a Sixers game? We lack a legitimate 2 guard. Iguodala has the potential to be one, but lacks the handles to explode inside. We need A 2 guard, especially should we trade Iggy.

I want Speights as our pick. If not him, Arthur. If not either of those guys, I'd look to make a trade.

yea ive seen a 76ers game have you?we need help, especially scoring help downlow...we have NO legit PF and our Center cant score besides put back slams.
Id much rather have Iguodala @ the 2 and Thad @ the 3 and draft a project big like arthur, speights, jordan, koufous or mcgee for the future than a medicore SG avail in the draft...

Agree...given the way the mocks appear to project the player movement, the only SG that may be worth the gamble over a big man @ 16 is Batum, but it doesn't seem like any of us have seen enough of his game to really have a valid opinion of his game. If people are looking to steal a potential star swing player @ 16, he may be the guy, but he also is probably a few years away from being that player (if it's going to happen). Not sure everyone can wait for that to happen.

one interesting thing that dedicated actually brought up in another thread is Bill Walker...
I have to agree with him on him being a sleeper in the 1st round...hes got alot of talent,is only 20 and seems to be working on getting himself better overall as a player...he could possibly get a look from us...i think he may possibly climb up the board a little after workouts.

No...Walker is a bust. Great athlete, but I don't think he has the game skills to succeed in the NBA. He shot 30% from 3 last season. Should be at best a second round pick.
