Playoffs Ratings

RATINGS
The NBA playoffs are drawing higher television ratings than last season. The 36 games on TNT through the first two rounds averaged a 2.4 rating, up 14 percent from last year. Ratings are up 27 percent on ESPN, averaging 2.8 over 16 games. Nine

Case in point. Lakers/Celtics being dominant again gets ratings. Ratings gets media hype. End of discussion.

How do people know the stats for the ratings, is there a site?

yeah, and the fact that the western conference was the most competitive ever and the number 1 seed in the NBA (regardless of if it was the Celtics or not) going 7 games with ATL and Cavs had nothing to do with it. :roll:

The regular season was the most competitive ever; the Western playoffs were lacking with relatively easy wins by LA, NO, and SA.

If the Pistons were the #1 seed and went 7, I bet they wouldn't get the same amount of viewers.

The NBA Finals should boost a lot of ratings.
