Wilcox,Ridnour,Watson or even Collison Trade value?
With Presti in rebuld mode and a stack of draft picks. There is high possibility one or all could be moved during or after the draft. although id like collison to stay. What value do you think we can get for them to get lottery picks or even move up into the 1 or 2 spot. Last year chicago were high on collison are they so keen now. wilcox seems to have the most value but who would be interested is he an upgrade at miami if their keen on mayo and the wolves take lopez couldnt we get beasley.memphis need a replacement for gasol maybe wilcox and some picks for their 5th pick.let me know your thoughts. cheers

I would doubt that any of these would get you into the 1 or 2 spot unless Bayless or Mayo really impressed Riley. Collison is probably the most valuable as he is of a rare breed in terms of size, talent and work ethic. Even then though, it might take the #3, the #24 and Collison to get Miami's attention.

When trading players for picks you still need to match salaries using the draft picks projected salary. So, it depends on what other consideration is included to make the numbers work. All of these guys are paid about $6.5M. The top picks get paid about $4M. The question is does anyone want one of these guys more than their pick? As we saw with Ray Allen it is often a multi-player trade.

The Bulls won't throw away the former #2 pick for just garbage and i don't really want him, cause he's shown nothing so far in this league.
Right now he's a lesser version of Chris Wilcox and i'd rather keep the inconsistant 13/7 guy, instead of trading for Thomas, who's also a bit of a tweener forward.

I think we could get the NY pick at #6 if we take on Curry's contract. We need a center anyway. He may not be great but he is better than anything we have got. Elson's contract is expiring as is Swift. We could package expiring contracts and/or Ridnour and get back Curry and #6. That would put us in a good position to move up or draft two out of the lottery like Mayo or Bayless and Lopez. The trade might look like this:
Seattle sends Marshall ($6M) and Swift ($3.6M) and #32 to NY for
Curry ($10M) and #6. NY gets to take $10 off their roster setting up a run at Lebron next year. Seattle gets extra young guys to build with. Subsitute Ridnour ($6M) or Elson ($3M) as desired.

NY fans really believe they have a shot at Lebron in a year. They need to clear cap space in the worst way. I expect a firesale. Curry was a good player two years ago. He needs out of NY. NY will clean house ASAP and start over with a new coach. We should cash in our expirings and get something of value.
