Rush or CDR?

Post#1 » by Dwightmare » Mon May 26, 2008 6:13 pm

I think we need a poll to see where the general opinion lies on these two guys.

If both are available when we pick and you have to choose one of these two guys, who you got?

Rush is stronger and a slightly better shot. Both are fine with our pick

I voted CDR but I'd take either... I think CDR is like an inch taller right? But Rush's shot is a little better. The only know on Rush i always see is that he is too unselfish but i think that would fit in perfectly with us. If we drafted either i would be extremely happy.

CDR is my choice, hes an all around 2 that can hopefully get to the line more than Evans. Every time I watched him had the Jamison type shots where it looked weird but went it.

Draftexpress has Rush going 15 to the Suns, saying the Suns are interested in him. I wouldn't mind if we picked him instead both are good players coming out of two great schools.

It' tough for me, ultimately I will chose CDR. I think that CDR is a more versatile player on offense, and even though his 3pt shot isnt as accurate yet, his jumper and his other moves are near perfect and he is the type of player who will work hard to progress. CDR is very long and will be the type of player that causes match up problems for his defender, not because of his strength, but because of he has so many ways to score the basketball and he is one of the best in the raft in terms of reading defense and creating separation. Even with this things I could still lean either way, because what Rush doesn't do offensively, he makes up for defensively, and he's a workhorse with a ton of energy...I would take either one if available...my only negative with Rush is his knee...

It could be a choice between these two on Draft night.

I also like Maurice Speights as well for this team.

We should know in about a month.

Rush looks closer to a headline that reads "ACL ....." . I vote CDR as he will be at a minimum another Bogans/Stevenson type.

If he's "just" Bogans/Stevenson, that's worth #22.

Whilst I voted for CDR, we need to consider the other side of the ball. He is VVEERRYY weak. On defense, he will get muscled in the post.

I voted CDR. Rush almost seems more suited to be a sf, not sure he's quick enough yet. I still like Shan Foster better myself, and he'd be much cheaper. If we're going to take a sg in the draft, do it in the second round and take a big with our first pick.

True. I think Lee should be our fall back if CDR is off the board imo.......

I went against my better judgment and picked Rush. I think depending on the day I could go with either of them. Rush reminds me of a more athletic Nick Anderson whilst CDR seems to have some Marquis Daniels and Tayshaun Prince in him.

tough choice, CDR seems to have the bigger upside , but rush is a pretty good defender..i wouldnt complain at all if one of them were taken at 22

Rush is more complete and a better defender, so I went with him. Taking CDR would be fine with me too though.
