Jordan Farmar

Post#1 » by DubaLakers » Tue May 27, 2008 3:34 am

After that nasty bitter loss on Sunday I continue to think of the future and the upcoming draft getting a little too ahead of myself...

How much value do you think Jordan Farmar has?:

Russel Westbrook 6-3 SG...A one man fast break, a defensive stopper and can play PG, knows how to use his body to create contact around the basket, highlight reel, converted SG to PG like Agent Zero...projected to go about 11-13 in this years first round. Hmm Kobe went for Vlade at what was that 14? He was a starter too, hmm doesn't look good, but no one really knew about KB24 'cept #44.

Jordan and Radmonovic for wherever Westbrook gets picked. Vlade makes too much $ tho. Hmm Jordan and Mr. Energy Turiaf? I'd hate to lose Turiaf, but Westbrook would fill such a huge need.

I'm personally not sold on Jordan Farmar. I think he is an overachiever type only because he's a tireless worker. He can be a decent player, but nothing to write home about... KB24 shocked me by saying JFar's court attitude reminded him of himself, but I really don't think he has great upside. Do other GM's think he does? Radmonovic makes too much $ right, and players that could probably get Westbrook: Sasha or Turiaf.

So in this fantasy scenario would there be anyway we could get Westbrook without having a first round pick by trading players to the prospective team that selects Westbrook? If so how could we pull that off considering we can't give up a future #1?

lakers are contending for titles, not worried about drafting rookies. plus, sasha and turiaf are free agents so you can't use them in a trade for a pick anyway.

Ahh I thought they were FA next off season. He's a lock down defender, that's why I asked his defense would give him the PT was my thought. Stop these damn hummingbird PG's.

I like Farmar. You talk about the guy overachieving because he works too hard...well when he bulks up, learns how to really defend, and starts knocking down shots, and fully develop his clutchness, you will still be saying he is doing all that (overachieveing) because he works hard?

I admire the fact that the guy works his but off on and off season.... and that is what is going to get him where we know he can get to as a player.

Westbrook i dunno much.... but regardless, he did all his stuff in college. Theres no guarantee that he will do the same in the NBA. I mean wasn't Mo evans supposed to be a lockdown defender? Guys change... but at least we know that Farmar is a hell of a hard worker... and he understands what his team wants from him. This understanding of his is the exact reason why he got the pt and Crittenton didn't.

anyway...why is three like three guys with the same sig?..... confusing.
