Antoine Walker is a must next year (off the bench) !

Post#1 » by PPAW4Life » Tue May 27, 2008 4:31 am

Even though he doesn't shoot efficiently, nor does he make layups anymore...he is still a threat from 3 point range and he brings fire and the ability to make plays against opposing team's second units.

He would be a perfect player to spell KG and the team can still keep the same type of intensity, or at the very least there won't be a huge drop off of intensity as KG rests on the bench.

Powe, BBD, and PJ Brown are all solid guys when they are playing well, but when they are not...they just don't strike fear into the hearts of good teams.

Cassell is finished....I almost rather Tony Allen play just to see what he can do maybe on the defensive end to grab some steals or challenge some shots.

LMAO!!! Fatoine is FINISHED!! Even more than Ray. He is fat, has NO lift, is a HORRIBLE shooter and still thinks he is the show.... He should retire and open a Krispy Kreme outlet.

Are Cassell and Brown even coming back next season?
You guys should have put in a call to Theo Ratliff before the Pistons did. He's probably going to lace them up once more.

Antoine Walker is garbage, though.

You're crazy! LOL!

Antoine would kill for the chance to help the Celtics win a championship. He would not blow it like Ray and Sam Cassell are doing right now.

I'm down. He can't be any worse than Cassell or Powe/Baby (whichever is playing on that day) 50% of the time they play.

Not in Celtics Green.....maybe on a last place T-Wolves team.

Last time Toine was wearing Celtics Green he helped save Paul Pierce's ass from losing Game 6 to the Pacers.

When healthy, Toine has always come through for the Celtics in the playoffs.

...and that was five seasons ago. He is going to be 32 next season, hasn't been a starter for three seasons, and can't even hit 40% of his shots anymore.

He's done. I bet he's out of the league when his contract expires.

Worst

Idea

Ever

Why would you give Leon or Baby's minutes to him? He can't even crack Minnesota's rotation and they were one of the worst teams in the league. What can he possibly offer one of the top four teams?

Newsflash, it is not 2002.

Wow, why am I not disagreed with this thread? He just can shoot the 3pt over the tough defense with a good view. Also, we should add Ricky Davis. He is a Rip Hamilton killer.

If we don't win the title this year, we need to upgrade the bench with players capable of making plays and who will take less to play for us.

Walker fits that.

I don't like the Cassell signing cause he is not producing and I prefer the ball be in Rondo's hands, Paul's hands, or KG's hands.

The great thing about Walker is that he has heart! He bleeds green!

Maybe stat wise he wouldn`t bring much but he would be extremely important as a vocal leader. We played terrible last night, no energy, no desire, Toine would definitely light a fire under those guy on the bench!

Sure. But first we have to get that great 7 footer shot blocker machine Mark Blount.

He would not be better than Powe! Atleast Powe can play down low, FATOINE cannot do anything good anymore.
