Play Eddie!

Post#1 » by BillessuR6 » Tue May 27, 2008 9:52 am

Eddie House needs to play! When Hunter isn`t in the game Doc must find some minutes for EH! We saw against CLE what kind of an impact Eddie has on the game! We look alive when he is in. He brings energy, speed, dynamic to the team.

Especially when we look so bad offensively we could use a guy who can make a shot and spread the floor. When Cassell is in our whole team dies on the court. Our pace is just too slow and it doesn`t allow us to gain any momentum.

Eddies OTOH moves on offense, is very active on defense, he sprints up the court when we get the ball, he just makes the team play with more energy and passion. And that is exactly what we need out of our bench players. Energy, passion, hustle, pace and not someone who will rock our whole offense to sleep like Cassell.

Hopefully Doc sees that and gives Eddie some minutes in the next game. He deserves it!

yeah he used to be really good i remember vaguely. back when the celtics used to hit 3 pointers.

signing cassell was the worst thing that happened to this team, and his complaining about playing time in the PLAYOFFS is un-FREAKIN called for

Apparently he is some guy who the celtics rotated regularly during the whole season which resulted in 66 wins and best road record in the league. He also hits threes more often than not. It's a wild concept.

Now we use a guy that looks like Ray Allen and a fish had an offspring instead of Eddie. Cassel blows! Please play Eddie.

His energy and hustle is worth it alone.

Agreed. Cassell is atrocious. He's not doing anything on the court, except take horrible shots and slowing the offense down to a crawl.

When you're playing against one of the best defensive teams in the league, isn't it logical to try to push the tempo in hope of getting a few easy baskets? So why are we playing Cassell, who's the anti-up-tempo?

Yes, he can bring up the ball better than House, but what good is it, when what comes after does nothing to help the team? I think at this point, we should deactivate Cassell and activate Pruitt. If he can bring up the ball and pass it to Pierce, that's better than whatever Cassell is doing at this point.

House should have played last night, it couldn't hurt. But let's not forget House has absolutely sucked shooting the ball this playoffs. Other than some nice hustle plays, he's done nothing. And he can't even bring the ball up, forcing Pierce to do it, which is also pretty bad for the offense.

His shooting hasn't been too bad since he started getting some real minutes. He's been billion times better than Cassell in every way, except bringing up the ball against pressure.

Hmm I remember someone names Leon Powe ever hear of him? I think he blew one defensive play in game 2 and hasnt seen the court since, oh well who needs a rebound?

Well, at least Powe's replacement, PJ Brown's been doing a lot of positive things. House's replacement, Cassell, is the worst thing to happen to the Celtics this century.

Eddie House is shooting 25% in the playoffs. And he can't even bring the ball up against 1-on-1 pressure.

Sadly, Sam was actually our best PG out there last night imo. Rondo was crap. Eddie just gets abused by Hunter and Stuckey. I think Sam is actually doing a better job running the offense lately. He just hasn't hit shots, but then none of our guards are hitting shots.

PJ has been doing great in the playoffs, I still wouldve like to have seen what House or Powe couldve done last night though

Yeah, I didn't mean to say that I don't want to see Powe because I do. Just that at least it's justified that PJ is playing ahead of Powe. I wouldn't mind seeing us go to a bigger lineup with Powe, Posey and PJ Brown all playing together with Paul playing the 2 with the PG of choice. I think Powe is more of an offensive player than is given credit for.

Maybe House should b*tch to the media about playing time and then Doc will give 17minutes.

What a spineless coach.

You are smoking crack.

What about Cassell's 0 Point, 0 Assist night made him better than rondo?

Was it his horrible chemistry? Was it his two fouls? His ill-advised 3 shots?

Cassell is 0 value add on a good day, and has really impacted the chemistry of this team. HE LIVES WITH GARNETT TOO! You think he is just whining to the papers??? That may not hurt garnett's focus, but it certainly can't help.

Also, have you noticed our offense goes nowhere whenever he is in the game? And he can't defend. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGGGG!

ps. Allen has gotten worse since Cassell got here - i don't know if it is the reason, but it may be part of our new chemistry problem.

Cassell killed Ubuntu.

Eddie House can't bring the ball up, Sam kills the offense, and so is there any other PG on the team? One. Rondo. He should be playing as much as he's physically capable of, and only sitting to catch his breath. If he's crap for stretches, what's the difference between him being crap and the other two being crap? The difference is that Rondo plays defense, and his crap play comes in stretches as opposed to a steady stream. Hell, I'd almost rather see Tony Allen be Rondo's backup. I mean, you know, at least Tony plays defense too.
