The ASG are once again proven to be jackasses

Nice work Bruce.

You got turned down by a (gulp) Billy Knight protege who was on the clock when you passed on Chris Paul.

You offered the job to this guy?

And he turned you down?

The ASG are such Clowns. We'd all be better off as Hawks fans without them.

The sad thing is that the FIRST person that offered the job to was Billy Knight himself AFTER not allowing him to fire his own head coach. This leads me to believe that they plan on bringing Woody back regardless of what the new GM thinks. Colangelo and Ed Stefanski are the only two names that comes to mine when I think of new GM's(not inhouse promotions)that kept the same head coach after being hired...and that was partially because those two teams made huge turnarounds the year they were hired.

Wow!

Unbelieveable!

You get turned down by two assistant GM's! This ain't good folks!

The only thing I can think of now is that the ASG will have to hire someone in-house. I think the attractability of this job is gone...for outside GM's looking to come here.

Gearon Jr. might as well make himself the GM because no reputable GM is going to touch this job now. It's clear he wants a 'Yes' man and these other GM's aren't buying it.

Now, the Pre-Draft camps are starting, and you have no GM. The other 29 teams are looking at the ASG and saying "what idiots!" Gearon says it's no rush....BS! They got to have a GM by the end of Pre-Draft camps...because the rest of the teams have their GM's present in Orlando.

This is a train-wreck.

Man I hope the Hawks don't pull a Magic and hire a Weisbrood (or whatever his name is) type guy with no knowledge of the game whatsoever. It would almost kill any chance of the Hawks returning to the playoffs and/or respectability.
