GJense4181's Second Mock Draft
1) Chicago Bulls-Derrick Rose. They trade Kirk Hinrich. Rose/Hughes/Deng/Gooden/Noah
2) Miami Heat-Michael Beasley. Banks/Wade/Marion/Haslem/Blount.
3) Minnesota Timberwolves-Kevin Love. While this doesn't move Jefferson out of the center position, it gives them an excellent inside-out combination. Foye/Jaric/Brewer/Love/Jefferson.
4) Seattle Supersonics-OJ Mayo. This move is made so, if/when the team moves to Oklahoma City, they have two stars to put fans in the seats. Green is a super-sub until they figure out what to do with their Cs. Watson/Mayo/Durant/Wilcox/Collison.
5) Memphis Grizzlies-Brook Lopez. Hell, he could actually *work* next to Darko Milicic. Conley/Miller/Gay/Milicic/Lopez.
6) New York Knicks-DeAndre Jordan. Mike D'Antoni wants a C that he can run with, and he's not a fan of David Lee. Jordan reminds him an awful lot of Amare Stoudemire. New York looks to trade Marbury and Curry. Marbury/Crawford/Jefferies/Randolph/Jordan
7) LA Clippers-Jerryd Bayless. They need a PG, and this one feel a few spots. Bayless/Maggette/Thornton/Brand/Kaman.
8) Milwaukee Bucks-Eric Gordon. They are looking to trade Michael Redd and replace him with another shooter. Williams/Gordon/Simmons/Jianlian/Bogut.
9) Charlotte Bobcats-DJ Augustin. They had a horrible time with injuries last season, especially to their PG position, and they draft a player to push Raymond Felton. Otherwise, they'll move him. Larry Brown loves true point guards. Felton/Richardson/Wallace/Okafor/Mohammed.
10) New Jersey Nets-Danilo Gallinari. This guy can almost play any of the backcourt positions, and gives New Jersey an option: move Carter? Move Jefferson? Harris/Carter/Jefferson/Williams/Boone
11) Indiana Pacers-Russell Westbrook. They need a PG. Jamaal Tinsley doesn't cut it, even when healthy. Westbrook/Dunleavy/Granger/O'Neal/Foster.
12) Sacramento-Darrell Arthur. Upset that their favorite PG prospects are gone, they take a PF. Although they have a plethora of PFs (Williams, Moore, SAR, Thomas), none of them are worth a damn. They draft for the future (with an Arthur/Hawes frontcourt in mind) and try to bring back Udrih. Udrih/Martin/Artest/Moore/Miller.
13) Portland Trailblazers-Anthony Randolph. Somebody messed up in letting this kid slip this far. Portland's biggest needs are PG and SF, and this addresses one. They add a Lamar Odom type player to an already stacked frontcourt. Watch out: Blake/Roy/Randolph/Aldridge/Oden
14) Golden State Warriors-Marreese Speights. They envision playing Speights at C when Biedrins needs rest. Speights can handle big PFs, whereas Harrington can take the quicker ones. Davis/Ellis/Jackson/Harrington/Biedrins
15) Phoenix Suns-Joe Alexander. This guy effectively replaces Shawn Marion. He's a perimeter-oriented tweener that will learn how to step out to the three-point line. He can play PF when O'Neal is out. Nash/Bell/Hill/Stoudemire/O'Neal.
16) Philadelphia 76ers-Nicholas Batum. They get a SG not named Willie Green, with a differing skill-set. Miller/Batum/Iguodala/Young/Dalembert.
17) Toronto Raptors-Roy Hibbert. This team does not have a back-to-the-basket C in their longterm plans. Now they do. Calderon/Parker/Moon/Bosh/Bargnani
18) Washington Wizards-Kosta Koufos. There are no backup PGs or worthwhile PFs to take here, so they take a perimeter-oriented C to complement and be a change of pace for Brendan Haywood. Arenas/Young/Butler/Jamison/Haywood.
19) Cleveland Cavaliers-Chase Budinger. This team has no immediate needs in their rotation. They take the BPA, and prepare to trade Wally Szczerbiak for Michael Redd. West/Szczerbiak/James/Wallace/Ilgauskus
20) Denver Nuggets-Chris DouglasRoberts. This team would be better off playing a pinecone than JR Smith. They draft a SG and move Iverson to PG more often.
21) New Jersey Nets-Brandon Rush. Just in case they didn't need another reason to move one of their big three. They have enough help in the frontcourt and backcourt. Now they need to figure out their swingmen. Harris/Carter/Jefferson/Williams/Boone
22) Orlando Magic-Robin Lopez. The Magic played Marcin Gortat. Enough said. They need a backup for Dwight, especially one focused on defense. They would have preferred Rush or CDR. Nelson/Bogans/Turkoglu/Lewis/Howard.
23) Utah Jazz-Jason Thompson. They get a back-to-the-basket C to play when Carlos Boozer cannot. Williams/Brewer/Kirilenko/Boozer/Okur
24) Seattle Supersonics-Ty Lawson. They get a speedy, pass-first PG that can run a break. They give up on Ridnour. Watson/Mayo/Durant/Wilcox/Collison.
25) Houston Rockets-Chase Budinger. Best. Player. Available. Alston/McGrady/Battier/Scola/Ming.
26) San Antonio Spurs-Alexis Ajinca. You know the Spurs; take an international prospect and stash him overseas for a few years. Wind up with a complete stud. Parker/Ginobili/Bowen/Obierto/Duncan
27) New Orleans Hornets-Nathan Jawai. They have a strong backup to Tyson Chandler. Paul/Peterson/Stojakovic/West/Chandler
28) Memphis Grizzlies-Courtney Lee. This guy is compared to Anthony Parker and Thabo Sefolosha. The Grizziles could use a player of his caliber. Conley/Miller/Gay/Milicic/Lopez
29) Detroit Pistons-DeVon Hardin. The rumors are not true, and DJ White sucks. Detroit wants a C and a SF, and promised Hardin last year. Billups/Hamilton/Prince/McDyess/Wallace
30) Boston Celtics-Ryan Anderson. Their backup C is...? They get a tall PF to play alongside Powe and Big Baby off the bench. Rondo/Allen/Pierce/Garnett/Perkins.
Flame away.
2) Miami Heat-Michael Beasley. Banks/Wade/Marion/Haslem/Blount.

Cleveland has no immediate needs in their rotation if they want to be a playoff team. If they actually want to win a championship they better make some changes.
With some picks it seems like you simply wanted to be different than everyone else.

I despise fans that cheer on a team from up north or one that resembles a dinosaur. oh wait...

Yesterday, when I suggested the exact same thing, you responded with:

In COLLEGE!
As an offensively-oriented 7-footer!
Are you kidding me?
What's changed?

I was getting ready to ask the same thing.
Seattle is said to be in love with Jerryd Bayless, I think they will go that route. Also, Orlando played Gortat because both Battie and Cook were hurt. We do not have the huge big man need that people who only saw the playoffs think. Orlando is far more likely to take Bill Walker or Budinger IMO if the draft plays out like this.
No way Randolph falls this far.

There is also a rumor on the wolves' board that says two of the people on Minni's draft committee like Mayo at 3, and the other 2 like Lopez. So, one of those two would make much more sense.
I'm choosing to believe a rumor posted on the wiretap, you're believing a rumor on the Minnesota board.
BUT YOU KNOW, I SHOULD REALLY START MAKING MOCK TRADES!

Obviously.
But this is their rotation, next year, under contract:
Delonte West (seeking extension)/Damon Jones
Sasha Pavlovic/Wally Szczerbiak
Lebron James/Budinger
Ben Wallace/Joe Smith
Zydrunas Ilgauskus/Anderson Varejao
I suppose they could reach even more for Ty Lawson?
Budinger can play SF, so he would work here.
With some of your comments it seems like you simply wanted to be more foolish than everyone else.

I'm sure Tony Battie, Brian Cook, and Adonal Foyle are solid players/backups!
Two of them should be out of the league due to being completely talentless, and the other is an injury away from retirement altogether.
You are playing Rashard Lewis, IMO, out of position, and have a delusional three-point-chucking backup as his only relief.
and who takes Randolph, instead?

Both Cook and Battie are more than solid backups. Unless you can find a way to play Turk, Rashard, and a PF (which is not possible) then the Magic are going to play those 2 at forward. That leaves us with Battie, Cook, and Gortat off the bench. That is a better big man bench than most NBA teams.
There are a handful of teams that would take Randolph. Charlotte and Sacramento being the most blatant if he even made it to them.

^No, they're not.
Cook should be out of the league. I wouldn't take him on my team even if we were allowed 16 players, he came for free, and offered to take me out to dinner.
and by *most* you mean the majority? I will find 15 teams with better bigmen backups:
Boston Celtics-Glen Davis, Leon Powe, PJ Brown
Chicago Bulls-Tyrus Thomas, Aaron Gray, Andres Nocioni
Cleveland Cavaliers-Joe Smith, Anderson Varejao
Denver Nuggets-Eduardo Najera, Nene, and Steven Hunter.
Detroit Pistons-Jason Maxiell, Theo Ratliff, Amir Johnson, Walter Hermann
Houston Rockets-Carl Landry, Chuck Hayes, Dikembe Mutombo
Indiana Pacers-Ike Diogu, Jeff Foster or Troy Murphy, David Harrison
Los Angeles Lakers-Rony Turiaf, Chris Mihm, Vladimir Radmanovic
Minnesota Timberwolves-Michael Doleac, Antoine Walker, Chris Richard, Craig Smith
New Orleans Hornets-Melvin Ely, Hilton Armstrong, Chris Anderson
New Jersey Nets-Sean Williams, DaSagana Diop, Stromile Swift
New York Knicks-Renaldo Balkman, Eddy Curry, Malik Rose, Randolph Morris
Philadelphia 76ers-Jason Smith, Thad Young
Portland Trailblazers-Channing Frye, Joel Pryzbilla
Sacramento Kings-Shelden Williams, Spencer Hawes, Lorenzen Wright, SAR
San Antonio Spurs-Robert Horry, Kurt Thomas, Matt Bonner
Seattle Supersonics-Robert Swift, Nick Collison, Francisco Elson, Saer Sene
Toronto Raptors-Andrea Bargnani, Jorge Garbajosa, Primoz Brezec, Kris Humphries
Washington Wizards-Andray Blatche, Darius Songaila, Etan Thomas
NINETEEN TEAMS! Give or take...4. You lose.
You think Larry Brown would like Anthony Randolph?
I had him at Sacramento but figured Darrell Arthur would complement Miller and Hawes better.
