Steven A Smith was on First Take talking about the pre-draft camp up in Orlando, and he made an interesting comment about Derrick Rose and his status, and that he doesn't really want to play in Chicago, even though that is his hometown. -- How much weight that carries, I'm not sure, just throwing it out there......

Rose to Miami, Beasley to Chicago.
Dorsey: Chicago Will Take Beasley
May 28, 2008 - 3:37 pm
Sun-Sentinel -
Joey Dorsey believes the Chicago Bulls will select Michael Beasley, which would allow the Heat to pick Derrick Rose.
"Chicago's got a lot of pressure on them because Derrick's from Chicago," Dorsey said, "but they're going to take Beasley. I've got the inside. They're going to get Beasley."
Bulls Vice President John Paxson has adamantly denied reaching a decision. [READ]

Maybe Stephen A. needs to check out the video that came out today on NBA.com, about Rose saying he wants to come to Chicago, calling it "a dream come true"..

Who the heck is Joey Dorsey anyways?
Joey Dorsey was Rose's teammate at Memphis. He probably has a chance to get drafted in the 2nd round. If anything, he talks to Rose more than anyone here and if he says Derrick Rose told him some inside information about where he might end up, I doubt that he's lying.

Except that Rose most likely doesn't know where he is going as of notw. There is just too much to do and too much time until the draft for a GM to make his decision already.
Unless he has a promise from Chicago that they won't draft him or knows of a promise to Beasley?
And Dorsey, he was a bigman on Memphis right? Rings a bell.

Yeah me too.
Aside from a team making a bad mistake, and the picks itself, the trades are the best part of the draft.
