Wiretap Will Wade Bolt to NYK?

Post#1 » by TheOUTLAW » Wed May 28, 2008 9:10 pm

That is an interesting spin. It seems that the Heat brain trust believes it's possible.

Will Wade bolt?

One Heat official expressed concern that Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni will try to ingratiate himself to Dwyane Wade (and LeBron James) as a U.S. Olympic assistant coach this summer in case the Knicks can clear cap space to pursue either as free agents in 2010.

It could happen if Miami doesn't get any better. Because I'm sure Wade wants to win...

lol, he must fulfill the prophecy...

Seriously, I doubt it happens, just because 'Dan Tony' is his Olympics assistant coach, he will want to go to NY?

Wade only signed the shorter deal to make more money in his next contract because of the new CBA.

Nobody wants to play for NY. Every year we hear about this, but when is the last time a good player actually went to New York through free agency?

because they are over the cap and can't offer more than mle but in 2010 they will have cap because donnie is trying to clear up cap space. I'm sure people would wanna go play there now that dan tony is their coach.

Exactly. Happens every year, guys use NY as leverage to get what they want out of their current team. We've seen Monta Ellis try it already, and he won't be the last.

Donnie can try all he wants, but who the hell wants players like ZBO, Curry and Crawford with their contracts?

These Knicks rumours involving franchise players are a complete joke. If any one these trades/signings went down the Knicks would have Lebron, Kobe, Wade and a bunch of fringe all-star players. But the closest franchise player they got the last couple years was Zach Randolph.

If either player (Wade or LeBron) are serious about winning, NY isn't the ideal destination in the near future. How they'll be in 2010, not cap space, but the players on the team/surround a Wade or a LeBron is what needs to be the question.

The Heat & Cavs are doing everything in their power to surround their franchise players with the right pieces to contend for years to come.

How the Knicks are going to be able to do that, is beyond me....

If Wade wants to win, why the heck would he go to NY?

Miamis in a much, much better situation and have a much better future and front office. Add Wade with Rose/beasley and 15+ from Marions expiring in capspace and they're right back where they need to be.

I love how Knicks fans have lived this pipe dream for over half a decade now. Nobody will take their contracts and they will still be mired in cap hell in 2010. There is no way you are signing LeBron or Wade. Stop smoking so much dope.
