Gardens Mock Draft 5/27

Post#1 » by Isiahs Garden » Wed May 28, 2008 12:23 am

1.Bulls- D. Rose: Beasley is tempting but Rose is too good to pass up.

2.Heat- M. Beasley: Will help Wade and Marion back into the playoffs.

3.Clippers*- O. Mayo: Will keep OJ in Cali, sell tix, and fit in well with Maggette and Brand.

4.Sonics- D. Jordan: Surprise! Memphis did not give Jordan the top 5 promise. As Seattle still hasn't learned to stop drafting bust bigmen.

5.Grizzlies- B. Lopez: The Grizz get the big they wanted to help replace Pau.

6.Knicks- J. Bayless: Bayless will push the tempo with Nate and Crawford while Curry and Randolph fight over a hotdog on the bench.

7.T'Wolves*- K. Love: McHale fell in Love. Now the Wolves have two highly skilled bigmen.

8.Bucks- A. Randolph: Milwaukee continues to create a logjam at the forward position, as they were not able to pass up Randolphs athleticism and "upside".

9.Bobcats- D. Gallinari: Just missed out on their targetd player in Randolph. The Italian still will help the Bobcats try to become relevant.

10.Nets- D. Arthur: Athletic big man still flying under the radar. Will help NJ from day 1.

11.Pacers- E. Gordon: Keeps Gordon in Indiana, providing a much needed spark at the guard position.

12.Kings- R. Westbrook: Provides Sacremento will help at the guard position immediatley. Teams with Artest as another defensive menace.

13.Blazers- J. Alexander: Adds more talent to this already young and explosive roster.

14.Warriors- J. McGee: GS rolls the dice on a project bigman. Chase Budinger could also be a bit of a surprise pick here.

*Min trades A. Walker and pk #3
Lac trades T. Thomas, B. Knight, and pk #7
Cap relief trade

Minnesota isnt trading 1 vet for 2.

DeAndre Jordan doesnt have a top 5 promise. Dont believe everything you read.
I despise fans that cheer on a team from up north or one that resembles a dinosaur. oh wait...

Trading an expiring contract (Walker) and the 3rd pick for 2 guys with longer contracts and a worse pick is the exact opposite of what the Wolves want to do.

agreed. But, it is very possible that the Grizzlies have a trade in place and will select Jordan later in the top 10. Most likely though a source close to Jordan started the rumor to up his hype.

Why exactly is Charlotte drafting a SF, when we have a glaring need at PF. I would switch Gallinari and Arthur

Walker doesnt have 3 more years left on his contract? Thomas has 2 more and Knight has 1 more. Is that incorrect?

Not only a glaring need at the PF position, but already with 3 SF's on the roster (Wallace, Dudley, Morrison).

No, Walker has 1 more year on his contract. He has a team option after this up coming season.

I don't know what site you use for contract info, but you should consider using Shamsports, from what I've seen, it's the best.

Just say "NO" to McGee on the Warriors...he's the next POB if I ever saw one...

We'd take Speights with who you've left on the board.
