TJ Ford Pre-Draft Measurements:
Lane Agility Drill: 11.45s
3/4 Court Sprint: 3.20s
Chris Paul Pre-Draft Measurements:
Lane Agility Drill: 11.90s
3/4 Court Sprint: 3.22s
TJ Ford is laterally faster and vertically faster, but such negligible differences probably change when you consider their ballhandling skills.

TJ Ford = Fastest in the League. AI used to hold the crown but it's been passed to TJ. I hear the G. State announcers talking about Monta this and Monta that. I even heard them say he's the fastest in the league over Barbosa! They didn't even mention TJ or AI. TJ Ford is the fastest player in the league bar none. Second is probably LeBron believe it or not, that dude is quick...

TJ is faster, but Paul is no slouch; adding the fact that Paul has top 5 handles in the league and excellent footwork (stopping on a dime middrive for a floater for example) and you see why Paul is so dangerous. He's deceptively quick and strong, which is a bonus to his ridiculous bball IQ and talent.

I think Chris is quicker with the ball in his hands. I remember a sequence against SA where he did a one man fast break and left Tony Parker in the dust, despite dribbling and Parker not having the ball...

I think TJ happens to be the 2nd quickest player in the league at his position, Parker being the first. Paul's hesitations and dribble moves are much more convincing, and much more powerful, however. In terms of quickness, its almost always a sure bet to go with a guy who is 20 pounds or more lighter.

I think this clip captures TJ's speed pretty well.

not many people can match that type of quickness.

NBA.com has Paul listed at 175. And Paul has a fair bit of muscle on him.
