Sund: Hire Avery Johnson as Coach!....Yes or No?

Post#1 » by NotYoAvgNBAFan » Thu May 29, 2008 11:24 am

Hello from the Milwaukee Bucks board...

I like to make my way around the NBA forums to just share some views on other teams...and I must say I like your young squad here and you all should be excited about your teams future.

I was impressed with the showing of Hawks fans that showed up for the NBA playoffs to cheer their squad on...It was good for the NBA in the south down there for a team to flourish.

Hey, I wanted to throw this at you all and say I think Avery Johnson would be a great hire for your Hawks.

I don't know if anyone in here has even thrown that around but you all probaly know your team better then I...perhaps.

Mike Woodson is a good NBA man, but each new GM likes to bring in their own guy.

The two I think the Atlanta Hawks should pursue are Jeff Van Gundy and or Avery Johnson or Dave Cowens and Terry Porter in Detriot. You need a coach who excels in teaching...

With all those young ears, todays NBA tunes out coaches real quick and some have learning curves and issues being rushed to the NBA like Josh Smith and Marvin were.

Just a thought...You can't go wrong with Avery. :noway: Also take a look at this kid named Brian Butch from Wisconsin or Kammron Taylor the PG late in the 2nd round...

Two great kids from the Big Ten who do nothing but win! Butch is a 7 foot monster they call the "Polar Bear' and Kammron Tayloer is a heady PG who can make a good point guard someday, and he can play tough on both ends.

They had played with Devin Harris at UW...and come from a well coached team with Bo Ryan here. Check em' out if you dont hear from them
in the draft sessions this week...

You heard it from me first...
Later...
