Sorry Utah, your teams best defensive strategy for the past 20 years is now illegal.

they said it every year
until i see it
i don't believe it

they better hire some team to review tape
if more than 50% of the team think it's a flop then it's a flop
6th flop you get a suspension
after your 6th flop you'll get a suspension for every 2 flops

In related news: The Jazz will be the worst team in the league next year and miss the playoffs.

NBA should pay close attention to Manu, AK, Harpring, Fisher, Varejao, Okur, and Vujacic.

Good thing Divac retired before this. Otherwise, he'd be broke in a matter of days.

There's a world of difference between flopping and taking a charge. Battier takes charges. (I'd like a personal thank you from a moderator for not jumping up and down on this poster's e-neck. I'm showing real restraint here, people.)

In all seriousness, I wonder how this going to effect Jerry Sloan's game planning. Maybe he can make some under-the-table deal wherein he pays all his players' fines for them? Then again, I don't think he's making enough money for that...and he's rich.

They should make this rule retroactive. That way I can watch while John Stockton gets his house repo'd to pay his $150,000,000 fine.

Ribalding, I admire your restraint. I too was about to go off.

I really really don't like this rule. Its going to end up like the synthetic ball issue.

But anyway... Utah Jazz is now all "FLOP UP"
"Flop AK47"

The love affair of Battier continues huh? I was half joking anyway (which seemed to be the mood of this thread), but I can still see we need a different type of player there. And yes Battier takes charges but he does flop from time to time (as do a lot of players).

And if people think AK or whoever is going to break the bank from this you're kidding yourselves. I guarantee that flopping will still exist more or less and that this will mainly target blatant flops that you can't ignore (i.e. Varejao).

I'm about 2 minutes from a 3 day break.

As if Utah could possibly argue they're innocent.

Hah!
