Who is will be a better pro in the NBA. Will Kevin Love go higher than the 10th pick (Hawes was 2007 10th pick)

Weird enough we had this talk on the wolves board last year when Love was a HS player and Hawes was a draft prospect.

Apples and oranges, man.

Love plays PF,

Hawes is a C.

IMO Kevin Love will have a greater impact throughout his career. I've got him going 5th to the Grizzles. If McHale doesn't flip OJ Mayo to Riles for Beasely, I expect him to trade down with Memphis for Love. Either way, Love will go way higher than most people (Chad Ford) think.

Hawes is a legitimate seven footer, has better post footwork, and is a better passer in the halfcourt (out of double teams and from the high post). Love is stronger though undersized, is a better shooter, a better rebounder, and throws better outlet passes. Give me Hawes.

I think Hawes will be quite a bit better, and more of a difference maker.. His Post moves are numerous and very complicated, very good length and he has a bit of a mean streak.. he reminds me of a poor man's Tim Duncan

Would the Wolves give up the 3rd pick for Hawes? Out of the three Lopez, Hawes, and Love..who will make the most all star apperence?

Personally, Hawes fits my idea of what I would want at the center position. Love isn't the PF I would like on my team.

Of three Lopez and Hawes would have the same odds for being an all-star seeing as how rare solid C's are becoming in this league. Love might win a Sixth Man award, on a deep squad.

Last year I was pissed that the Bulls took Noah over Hawes. With that said, its a poor comparison because Hawes and Love don't play the same position. IF I were Minnesota I would prefer Hawes because he fits better next to Jefferson. But if my team needed a PF, give me Love. I think they have about the same career.

Love as a PF
Hawes as a C

I like em both, and would love to see the Kings draft Love at #12 to pair the two.
