I think that Josh SMith doesn't have much of a post game either- you aren't going to throw him the ball in the post like you would Duncan, Shaq, or Howard. Why would a ridiculous comparison to a center be worth responding to?

For one, he's been successul most of the time when we go to him in the post.

More importantly, there are actually a few other spots on the floor than the low post and the 3 point line... Smith is very good from quite a few of them...

Duncan rarely starts his offense from a deep post. He faces up on the wing. Which is what Josh Smith does when he is having a dominate offensive game. He can face up and go around PF's like they aren't there. That is the COMPLETE strength of his game. If teams try to put SF's on him, he has a more than adequate post up game to get past him there.

So once again, designing a offense that puts him outside the three point lane is just as effective and smart as putting Duncan, Shaq or Howard out there. That isn't where he can be effective. Putting him there essentially turns that half court offense into 4 on 5. Yet, by design he is out there.

ha- what fantasy land does this come from?

Might be a slight overstatement, but more than half of the teams in the league was contacting Utah to trade for Kirilenko after his trade request. he is still a high commodity.

For you to even suggest that Utah would trade him for simply an expiring contract is just plain wrong and obviously isn't true.
