this guy is a lucky mofo
the rider shot is amazing but byron eaton's shot is similar, i think my favorite one of ive seen is the guy that threw it behind the back it hit the net and it swoops up and in, ive never seen a shot like that and couldnt do it if i got a million tries probably

You know that was fake, right? It was a Powerade commercial.

Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:
"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

I'm surprised it took so long for someone to mention that shot.
Wasn't that back when there were no three pointers so it counted as a two?

Someone help please, when I was a kid in the mid or late 80's, I didn't watch much basketball, but I remember a shot Magic Johnson made from almost full court. It was after a basket or FT by the other team, he took the inbounds pass and launched it, from probably no more than 10 feet from the baseline. It was in L.A.
Speaking of Magic, I seem to recall he pretty easily could make near halfcourt shots to tie or win games. Seem to recall at least 4 and I hardly watched Laker games.

Not the NBA but one of the best shots I've seen and an even better finish...

I'm at work and can't access youtube. I've never seen the Rider one as far as I can remember, can someone describe it?
Anyway the first few that came to mind for me were
1) Jerry West 3/4 court to send a playoff game into OT (old days before 3 point shot, would have been a game winner today)
2) Eric Murdock falling out of bounds in Milwaukee along the baseline near the three point line, chasing the ball with his pants falling down and flips the ball backwards with one hand under his rib cage, high arching and barely moves the net as it swished in as he pulls his pants up with his other hand. It as a #1 play on NBA action like 10-12 years ago and I still remember it.
3) A.C Green beating the buzzer on a jump ball, tipping it in on the jump.

Like many others, the first shot that came to my mind was Rider's ridiculous stroke of luck.
But, Reggie has to be in contention with his 40 footer. (if it wasn't already posted)
