I don't understand why people say "Yeah everyone is rumored to go there hahaha." Okay? Those rumors were just dumb because the Knicks never had cap space but New York with money to throw around is attractive to anyone.

Cleveland and Miami can pay LeBron and Wade respectively, more than NY can. Can they not?

Well I can't remember the Knicks signing a superstar since I've been alive, though "everyone wants to play there."

Marbury was a superstar in Phoenix before he came to New York, but I think he may have been acquired through a trade...

Then you have a very flexible definition of superstar. Marbury was never anything close to LeBron or Wade.

Marbury hadn't won a playoff series and was also known for beeing a headcase ( which both hasn't changed btw ) . Not even close to the Wade's , Lebrons closer to Melo if you want an example.

Okay, it really wasn't that hard. I just said the last time they were under the cap they signed Allan Houston(1996). That's not exactly a superstar but my point is they haven't had cap space in 10 years so what superstar are we going to sign? MLE? LLE? Yeah...no.

Well yeah, even when they had cap space which was 12 years ago, they still didn't get a superstar to go there.

Still, if Cleveland and Miami can pay a LeBron or a Wade the $, and still surround them with a solid team, why in the world would they bolt to NY? -- It doesn't make sense.

LeBron's a player who's seems all about winning, and right now, NY has nothing to offer either player, and with the cap space in 2010, are they going to have any money left to sign quality players to put around them?

Who knows?

For some reason the Knicks think they can pull any FA because they are NY. I'll side with history and say that it doesn't happen.

I don't think the mere fact of beeing in NY is attractive enough for NBA players . You actually have to have chance to win something and the Knicks can't do that right now and it'll be very hard for them to get into a situation to be in that position in 2010.

Even if they get the Caproom the team will not be very good .
