Magic are expected to trade for a 2nd round pick

Well normally you get a 2nd round pick for cash so I assume if the Magic like a player who is there in the 2nd round, they will simply pay for him.

Some examples.

June 28, 2007: Select forward Reyshawn Terry in the second round of the 2007 NBA Draft (44th overall), then trade his draft rights to Dallas in exchange for the draft rights to forward Milovan Rakovic (60th overall) and cash considerations.

June 28, 2007: Trade the 54th overall pick to Houston in exchange for cash considerations.

June 28, 2006: Select forward Lior Eliyahu in the second round of the 2006 NBA Draft (44th overall), then trade his draft rights to Houston in exchange for cash considerations.

June 28, 2005: Select center Martynas Andriuskevicius in the second round of the 2005 NBA Draft (44th overall), then trade his draft rights to Cleveland in exchange for a 2006 second round draft pick and cash considerations.

June 28, 2005: Acquire the draft rights to forward Marcin Gortat (Poland, 57th overall) from Phoenix in exchange for cash considerations.

June 24, 2004: Select Antonio Burks (Memphis) in the second round of the 2004 NBA Draft (36th overall), then trade his draft rights to Memphis in exchange for cash considerations.

In the recent past, Cash Considerations has been a frequent target for the Magic, both to trade, and to trade for.

Joey Dorsey looks like he could have Ben Wallace upside. That's unquestionable worth a secondary selection. My question here: is there a stronger player in this draft over Dorsey? I say not. This kid is a total oxe!

Other interesting players include a bevey of combo guard prosepects. The Magic could really think hard about a Kyle Weaver type. In addition to Weaver, Lester Hudson, Jamont Gordon, and Anton Ponkrashov would all be worth an interview.

No!! We should use our 2nd rounder pick to bolster our frontline. Really, I don't see our frontcourt being so bad with Battie back and Gortat developing. And Dorsey/Hendrix are just as good as Robin Lopez/Roy Hibbert to me. I'd much rather draft CDR or Rush.

I see the Magic using the first round pick for a credible big man who can help tomorrow instead of going for a big man in the second round who may or may not be able to help Dwight and crew right away.
So Robin or another player similar to him is what the Magic seem to be looking at rightfully so.
