So tired of you saying this...

Especially since it isn't true whatsoever and Odom has been mostly a crappy disappointment for 3.5 seasons. Heat fans should focus on the lotto.

I'm sorry, but you got pwned.

Oh and to NO-KG-AI, who "Lol"ed at me for saying LA's rebounding > the Spurs', yeah, LOL. I guess the fact that LA basically outrebounded the Spurs during the series means nothing ehh???

What y'all have to say now???

Lamar Odom a crappy disappointment for 3.5 seasons?

He's been relatively healthy over his laker tenure, and has averaged close to 15/10/5.

What more do you want?

I don't remember what Dwayne's FTA numbers were for that finals but will guarantee that if Kobe avaerages the same amount in these finals then the Lakers will definitely win it.

It's not a knock on Dwade - just saying that with this current squad and Kobe's abilites - if he is able to get to the line that much with this team then they will be unbeatable.

haha for the last 3 years us Laker fans have had to listen to posters of other teams talk about how DWade and LeBron were better because they "single handedly" beat a great defensive team on their way to the finals... Kobe would never win anything without Shaq... Kobe would never get out of the 1st round... Lakers suck... Laker fans are homers... Lakers fans are stupid for thinking they can make it to the finals without Bynum... Laker fans are stupid for thinking they can beat the Spurs in 5

what are you guys saying now?

If Kobe averages even half as many free throws as Wade was given against the Mavericks the Lakers will win the finals in 5 games max.

Well, if Kobe takes it to the hoop as much as Wade did (and he should, no one can stop him), he will average the same amount. I think Wade benefitted from the rule changes because they had been instituted that year.

I'm glad the Spurs are out. Even though I'm not a big fan of the Lakers, I think they made it because of their talent and desire. Say what you want about the refs not calling a foul on Fisher, but if the last 50 seconds had been called right, that play would not have made a difference. They had to deal with TD getting to the line basically every time he touched the ball, but they still managed to pull it out. They play the right way, they're not a dirty team, and I happen to like PJ.

or maybe pay that 16 million bucks for Gasol if they had kept him...

Well it was actually 15mil next year, but like, it wouldn't have put them in the luxury tax. Point being that if they don't go hard after some big time FAs this year, they will have been able to just taken a two year deal with real talent attached for Gasol instead of taking a weak deal with expirings.

funniest thing you ever said
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

One other point that I think is overlooked about Gasol is that he is getting paid max contract money.

Does anyone think now that he is a max contract player?

I don't. He is a good complimentary player but he isn't worth 16 mill. Does anyone think that Memphis felt that they had gone as far as they thought Pau could take them. Pau is a 2nd maybe 3rd tier PF/C.

I actually thought Gasol was a lil better than he showed. I actually think the Lakers are better with Bynum than Gasol if I had to choose between the two. Being on a weak team like Memphis has distorted his value imo.....

If you were referring to me (and I think you are) I've felt like this since the regular season. Gasol hasn't shown a strong post up game since being with the Lakers; his best asset has been his passing which is tailor made for the triangle system.

Gasol's soft game has been questioned for quite a while, where have you been......
